23.01.2022 Just a quick background about the Noel Burley Memorial Hillclimb. Noel "Noddy" Burley was a local motorsport enthusiast that actually won membership to MADCC as a prize for coming first in a Motorkhana in his Morris Mini 850. He was hooked from that point on. Throughout the 70s Noel was an active member of the Club including roles on the committee, and was responsible for much of the Clubs publicity in the early years. "Noddy" was also involved in the organisation ...and running of various events from hillclimbs and motorkhanas to social outings. As well as hosting his own motorsport segment on local radio called "Valve Bounce", Noel was well known as a reporter for national events such as rallies, the Repco Reliability Trial, Akademus to name but a few. Sadly, Noel passed away from cancer in 1980, however his contribution to the Club is recognised each year with the season ending hillclimb named in his honour. Many of the early members of MADCC can recall sharing great times with "Noddy", and all of us - including those of us that never had the privilege to meet him - are grateful that we can share this race meeting with members of his family in attendance. Cheers, Adrian Britton

22.01.2022 Hi Everyone We are proceeding with the Motorkhana on the 14th of June (subject to the final issuing of a permit) we will let you know as soon as we know. There is an enormous amount of work that is going into putting this and hopefully the hillclimb on the 20th of June into reality and we need you to help.... To be fair to our members the motorkhana and the possible hillclimb on the 20th will only be open to current MADCC members, no new memberships or day licences will be processed for these events. The requirements for entry to the events will be as follows (please read) All entries must be submitted online or by mail including payment, no entries will be accepted on the day of the event, at this time the numbers will be limited so enter early as once we reach the cut off point no further entries will be accepted, the numbers include officials and parents of junior entrants. All competitors must complete the self scrutiny declaration on the Motorsport Australia website. No MADCC cars will be available for hire for the Motorkhana. No spectators will be permitted at this time, a parent accompanying a junior will be the only exception. Anyone who is unwell in any way must not attend under any circumstance. The event may be cancelled for reasons beyond our control, we hope this doesnt happen but if it did all entry fees will be fully refunded. Please read the Supp Regs when they are posted on the website in the coming days and if you have any questions message us and we will answer you as quickly as possible, please be patient with us as we work through getting back to racing. Please take note: we do this for fun and we have jobs and familys outside of racing, it may take us a little bit of time to respond to questions, but we will get back to you as soon as possible, any aggressive or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. Hope to see you all soon
