25.01.2022 Next event: Beach comp: 30th November, 1st & 2nd December. The coordinators are the falconers. Please let them know if you are entering the comp and joining us for the Saturday night dinner. The comp starts at 6pm on the Friday evening. Nora & Pete and the kids will be onsite from Thursday. We are camping at site 9, Golden Beach. The club banner will be by the entrance. Camping is free again so first in best dressed! You might like to bring some wood well have the usual campfire weather permitting.
22.01.2022 EDEN Comp Results (Better late than never!) Great comp, everyone had a beaut time. We had 26 people including kids attend, with a total of 40 fish weighed in. Everyone got out to fish. The heaviest shark overall was a 2.10kg Bronzy, caught by young Darcy Cruickshank. The heaviest flathead in the mens section: Reevsy - .525g, 2nd heaviest: Ken - .5.5g. ... AOV: Macca caught a 1.540g Morwong. In the womens sections Bridgette caught the heaviest flathead - .530g And Wendy caught the next at .390g. In the juniors the heaviest flathead at .475g was caught by Nayte Grogan. The 2nd heaviest at .445g was caught by Remy Grogan. The 3rd heaviest at .435g was caught by Harry Derickx and the 4th heaviest at .375g was caught by Lilly Derickx. Evie Derickx caught a .340 Flounder. See more

21.01.2022 Marlo comp officially started at 6am. We have had a few good sized Bream reeled in already. Club dinner tomorrow night at the Marlo caravan park. Hope to see you all there
19.01.2022 Dargo Comp is coming up (trout opening) Friday 31st of September starting at 12.01 am to final weigh in Sunday the 2nd at 12 noon. Camping at Italian flat. If you need directions dont hesitate to get in contact we would love to see some new faces... What a great way to spend Fathers Day fishing and camping with dad lots of laughs and fun to be had. Plenty of prizes to be won. We are needing confirmation ASAP so we have numbers for catering Saturday night.
18.01.2022 TAMBOON COMP RESULTS 25 people attended the comp, with 72 fish caught There was six bream weighed in over the 1kg mark, with low numbers of flathead caught over the weekend, but a nice big flathead caught by a very young girl. All the camp sites were full of tents, campers and swags, ready for a big weekend of fishing, stories by the campfire and just some fun Most nights everyone ate their meals at their own camp, then gathered together by the camp fire for the stories... of the days events. Winners as follows: Mens Heaviest Bream, Paul OBrien 1.165kg, Ladies Heaviest Bream, Nora Falconer .590kg, Longest Flathead, Alison Falconer 630mm, Mystery Length Bream, Chris Osler 360mm, Biggest AOV, Ray Larsen and Murray Finch, Juniors Bream, PJ Falconer 1.115kg very nice fish, 2nd Alexis Falconer .540kg. 18.01.2022 Dargo comp was a success. We had 45 members fish the comp, 19 fish caught and a fun weekend camping. A drop of rain Saturday night as we had a delicious dinner, thanks to Darren Toogood for cooking camp ovens. Kacee, Joel for running the comp. we had some new members join the club. Which is fantastic. Rhys Johnson caught a ripper fish weighing 765g but missed the weigh in time by 5 minutes. Winners ... Mens winner: Ray Larsen 650grams Womans winner: Bridgett Bracey 515grams Juniors: Allison falconer 400grams Next comp: Marlo 12th 13th 14th Comp starts 6am Friday finishes 12noon Sunday. Staying at Marlo caravan and motel park. Cabins are booking up so book in ASAP.
17.01.2022 Marlo Comp 27 members attended. 33 bream & 7 other varieties were weighed in. Mens Heaviest bream was 1.685kg caught by Alan Hill on Sunday morning. ... 2nd in Mens section was 1.045 and caught by Ken Wilson. The ladies heaviest bream 790g was caught by Lyn Boys 2nd in ladies was 630g caught by Bridgette Bracey. The AOV was a 1.205kg Perch caught by Graeme Toogood secret weight was a 410g bream caught by Matt Edey. Thank you to Georgie & Mark at the Marlo Caravan Park, to Dave at Snowy tackle, the Marlo pub, the cooks Di & Di to Wendy for coordinating and for everyone for attending. Another fantastic weekend.

14.01.2022 Our first comp for the year was a success although not to many of us caught fish lots of laughs and fun were had. Mens winner: Joel Toogood Second place: Matt Schlitz Ladies winner: Chloe Schlitz ... Secret weight: Chris Horne No juniors weighed in any fish this comp. 20 members fished the comp, only 5 caught fish. 15 fish were weighed in , 2 Trevally caught in the Tambo and the rest were Bream caught in the Mitchell. Thanks to Di and Steve for running the Comp. Dargo comp is next for trout opening 1st 2nd 3rd of September more details to come.
14.01.2022 Woodside /McLaughlins Comp Results What a ripper weekend 37 people including 12 juniors attended the comp. The target fish were Gummy & Flathead. ... In the Mens section the heaviest Gummy was 3.790kg & caught by Peter Bourne. 2nd was a 2.225kg Gummy caught by Ben Cruickshank. The longest Flathead at 59.5cm was caught & released by Graham Brown. The 2nd longest Flathead was 53cm & caught by Peter Bourne. In the Ladies section, Erin Bourne caught a 1.550kg Gummy & Nicole Bourne caught a 48cm Flathead In the juniors section, Alison Falconer & Darcy Cruickshank each caught a 47cm Flathead, along with Alexis Falconer & PJ Falconer with a 43cm Flathead each. Darren Bourne won the AOV with a .835kg snapper Next Comp will be held at Eden on the 8th, 9th & 10th of Feb. Details to follow
14.01.2022 D A R G O C O M P Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th Sept The coordinators are Greg Grogan & Ben Cruickshank. Please let Greg 0425852993 or Ben 0428173773 know if you are entering the comp. We are staying at the Italian flats, continue on past the Hotel for about 6ks then turn right onto Upper Dargo Rd, Italian flats is about 4ks along the road. Look out for the club banner as usual. There is only a drop loo, no showers, water or lights. So come equipped - including wood. The cl...ub will put on the usual BBQ on the sat night. A reminder to ensure your fishing licences are up to date & check your safety equipment. This is trout opening weekend, and the season opens at midnight on Friday 6th See more
10.01.2022 Bemm Comp, we may not have had many members fish this comp but there was no shortage of fish caught 14 people attended the Bemm comp and enjoyed the wonderful weather. There were 51 fish weighed in and many more released. The junior comp was won by Alexis Falconer with a fantastic bream weighing 1.145kg and 410cms long this was the heaviest and longest bream caught by any of the members all weekend. Well done Alexis ... The open comp was won by Brett Dennis with a bream weighing 1.135ks and length of 40cms which was the exact same length of a bream caught by Ken Wilson but his was 38cms long. The heaviest AOV was a 1.640kg luderick caught by Ken Wilson. The open secret weight was a 660g bream caught by Matt Edey. The junior secret weight was a 680g bream caught by Alexis Falconer. Brett Dennis caught a 610cm flathead. Each of the four falconers weighed in 2 bream each. There were also 3 ludericks and one perch weighed in. Thanks to all who attended

09.01.2022 Golden Beach Comp Site 9 at Golden Beach was packed with large caravans, camp trailers, tents and swags 30 people including 7 juniors attended the comp. The weather on Friday and Saturday was perfect for hanging out at the beach The young children ran free up and down the dunes and splashed at the waters edge. Their dads sat up on the dune watching their rods and the kids. There were only 10 fish weighed in which included 2 x flatty, 3 x salmon, 3 gummy shark, one schoo...l shark and a flounder. The 1st prize went to Bryce Trbovich with a 4.735kg 101cm, school shark. The biggest flatty was caught by Pete Falconer weighing in at 635g and 46cm long. AOV prize went to Ray Larsen with a 1.33kg, 54 cm salmon. None of the women or juniors fished over the weekend. Saturday night we all gathered around the camp fire after a delicious dinner of roast spuds with all the trimmings onion, bacon, cheese, coleslaw and sour cream, and a snag or two Thank you to Nora and Pete for coordinating this comp and to their children PJ, Alexis and Alison for helping out too. Well done!! There were many raffle prizes and the first prize a beaut small Engel was won by Jason Murray. See more
09.01.2022 Dargo Comp Hope everyone is getting their gear ready for a ripper weekend for trout opening. If all who are wanting to attend the comp dinner Saturday night could please drop a comment below.... We ask everyone to please bring there own plate and cutlery as we will be camping and facilities are limited. Plastic utensils will be available but we are trying to avoid creating lots of litter.
