24.01.2022 Week 3 done another great night both on the track and weather wise for Auskick! We are loving the energy of this group! As always the biggest thanks to those that help on and off the ground! With a group this size we need a heap of helpers so thanks to those that have put their hands up! See you all next week

23.01.2022 Gday Families, I am very excited to announce that registrations are open for the 2018 season and we at Maffra are gearing up to make it one of the best seasons to date, with new and exciting deals being offered through the AFL for participants and families, new equipment for the season, new activities and programs and the list goes on. we will be placing a big focus this year on growing the centre and making Auskick as accessible to every boy and girl no matter what the age ...and no matter what the skill set. We want all kids within our area to come along and give it a go. To give us the best chance to be ready for the season we would like to get registrations in early, which help the centre by the way of equipment allocations. The more registered participants the centre has, the more resources well get allocated, its that simple. In the past few years our registrations have come in late and we have not been allocated enough equipment for the amount of participants so this is a pretty important thing. Due to my family commitments I will not be able to make every session and as such, we desperately need volunteer helpers to assist with running of the sessions. This is critical to ensure that the sessions can run to their full potential and our kids can get the most out of them. You will be fully supported throughout the season by myself and AFL Gippsland. Please let me know if you are able to assist as soon as you can. If your child/children are not looking to return to Auskick I would like to thank you for your involvement in the program. I hope that you have enjoyed the experience and feel happy to help promote the centre to friends and families. Lastly I understand that although we try our hardest, we dont always get things right and I would greatly appreciate any feedback regarding the running of the centre to assist us with improvement and providing the experience we set out to achieve. 23.01.2022 Hi all! Thank you for your ongoing support of Maffra Auskick. We would love if we could get some volunteers to help each week with the selling of the sausages and primas and cooking of the BBQ! So if you are around please come and offer some assistance. All profits from the sale of the BBQ go directly into the centre and the monies raised are used for things like the purchase any required equipment, support with any overhead costs going down to the grid games and the purchase... of medals for each participant at the end of the term. 17.01.2022 With regard to the last post, The Maffra Auskick centre will continue to be directed by AFL Gippsland with regard to creating a safe environment for our participants and the wider community at this time of the COVID-19 pandemic. As such our Auskick sessions will commence on the 3rd of June unless we are notified that we can commence earlier. We will adjust the season end date to accommodate for the delayed start so that no one misses out. More communication to come in the coming weeks. 14.01.2022 Hi Auskick families - apologies for the lack of contact through the page, but I wanted to wait until I had clear direction before I wrote anything publicly. We have been directed by AFL Victoria to remain closed until we have a recommencement date. This could change any day and I will be straight back on here to let you all know what our movements will be when that occurs. I want you to know that I still run a service for you all in Maffra in 2020 as soon as I am given the green light and I thank-you for your patience and understanding. For any parent with any concerns or queries I m always here to answer them and encourage you to give me a call on the listed contact number for the centre or message through the page.

13.01.2022 Just a reminder to all that we are kicking off the 2018 Auskick 2.0 season this Wednesday and would love for you all to come down and have a go at this fantastic introduction to Football. Registration can be completed online at www.aflauskick.com.au.

11.01.2022 Gday Facebook family, in an effort to support this Sundays Womens football extravaganza, Maffra Auskick have been asked to supply a Girls Auskick match starting at 12:30. This invitation is extended to anyone that is interested in having a go at football and they DO NOT have to be registered in Auskick. You would need to be at maffra main oval at 12:00pm with the game running for approx 20mins. I will need help to run this game as well so if any parents can assist that would be spectacular. Dont forget with the cold nights rolling in, to make sure your little champions are rugged up and are nice and warm out there during the hour so we dont have too many frozen fingers. Massive thankyou to all the parents and friends that helped out on the field and cooking the BBQ for all of us to enjoy the beautiful McQuillen Meats sausages and Maffra Bakery Bread. 06.01.2022 Gday Auskickers, With the 2019 season about to commence we urgently need to secure parental volunteers to run the sessions. I will facilitate the role of coordinator and take care of everything (i.e. - footballs, equip, BBQ), however I can no longer attend the sessions due to commitments with my family that have grown up and no longer are Auskick participants.... You will be fully supported in this role and will only be required for 1 hour a week for 11 session. It is a thoroughly rewarding role that brings so much joy to our young future football super stars. If you feel that yourself or someone you know would be able to facilitate this role please let me know ASAP so that I can make arrangements and ensure that 2019 Auskick is as fun and successful as always. 24.12.2021 NAB Auskick done for another year! What a great turn out, over 70 registered this year! A massive thanks to all of the families that have attended this year! Coming out in the cold each week certainly is not what families want to be doing as it gets colder and darker but seeing the smiles and fun the kids are having certainly makes it worthwhile! ... To the volunteers each week we can’t thank you enough. We rely on volunteers to make each session run as well as it does. Thank you each of you that have helped set up, pack up, help on the field, at the BBQ or helping serve the sausage sizzle each week. A big thank you to Maffra Bakery and McQuillen Quality Meats for the BBQ each week and the Maffra NAB Bank who have all helped with Auskick this year. It was great to have Gaylene from the NAB bank to help present the medals tonight and we appreciate her support. To the Maffra Football Netball Club thank you for letting us use the ground each week and to the Maffra Junior Football Club for their ground for our session tonight. It’s great to see past and present Maffra Footballers out there each week helping our Auskickers and supporting our up and coming football stars!
