25.01.2022 Maffra Show is hoping our Carnival Showmen have survived 2020

25.01.2022 Exciting news! The Maffra Ag Society has been successful in obtaining a grant to construct an all weather exhibition space. It will be located at the Western end of the cattle pavilion providing protection from the weather for the Food Court and Entertainment Space.

25.01.2022 At the request of some youngsters in the area that did a great job at the Zone HT on the weekend, We have added a Grade 6 to our event on November 10th.

24.01.2022 All Gippsland shows are disappointed for the reasons listed below. These were also Maffra's concerns along with information from VAS, that our insurance does not cover "pandemics". Fingers crossed for 2021

18.01.2022 Stratford PC Interschool Equestrian Challenge and State Qualifier The last few preparations are well underway for our event next week - Wednesday 26th F...ebruary 2020. Who will be our 2020 Champion team?? Will St Gabriels from Traralgon take back to back victories?? With teams from over 30 schools and 150 riders the competition is set to be fiercely contested! We look forward to welcoming you all next week but in the interim just a few house keeping items: 1. Please ensure you have paid for your entry and a day attendance form has been submitted if needed. Currently we are missing some direct deposits. A day attendance form is required if you are a member of HRCAV, EA etc even though no extra payment is required. 2.Please ensure a helper has been listed on your team sheet - no helper no score! 3. Please ensure you have a copy of your events as there will not be any changes made on the day. 4. Full catering will be available all day. 5. Location is MAFFRA SHOWGROUNDS 6. Have fun and remember we are all here for the kids!!

14.01.2022 Thankyou for entering our Interschool event. I have just sent through the helper list, the map and a day attendance form (everybody except PCV members require ...this filled out) by email but have multiple emails bounce so I will post information here as well. The Office will be open from 7.30am for Team Managers to check teams in, hand in day attendance forms or to scratch riders. This will also be available for helpers to collect the folders etc for their job. We have a large number of riders so please be patient. We are all volunteers and we are all here for the kids. We also understand that there potentially could be some clashes between classes and some flexibility is available but generally the following rules will apply - 1. Ring 1 and 2 classes take priority over SJ, Games and Obstacle Course 2. Showjumping classes will not run in draw order but will need to flow quite quickly to get all riders through. Please make your way to your SJ as quickly as possible. Course walks will be at the programmed order, times for these are not known but will be announced to the best of our ability and no further course walks will be permitted so please keep an eye out. 3. Obstacle course and Games - you can ride at anytime during your scheduled time allocation. Please note that no changing of events are possible now or on the day. Volunteers must complete their helper assigned task - if teams want to rotate multiple helpers through the time slot they can but must arrange themselves and are responsible if the duty is not complete. There are some volunteers that have not been allocated a duty at this time but may change so please check the helper list on the morning of the event. I have attached a rough map for the location of events and helper list. Looking forward to it.

09.01.2022 It was great to see people out and about at the Seed Community Garden's Seedling Sale on the weekend Here's a snap we took and we just wanted to say than...ks to you guys for continuing to follow the COVIDSafe rules and restrictions including wearing a mask, physical distancing and hand hygiene when you're supporting local. 07.01.2022 ***Attention Interschool Riders *** Just a reminder that the event is being held at the Maffra Showgrounds. Please only park where directed and please note tha...t the competition area will be on the far north end of the grounds. Catering will be available for breakfast and all day. There will be no plaiting at this event. Helper job list will be posted in the next day - failure to complete duty will result in team elimination. We are still missing multiple day attendance forms - these are required for everybody that is not a PC member regardless of whether you have other association membership. These will need to be handed in before riding -please bring them already completed). Any questions on the day should be raised through your team manager. Due to the large number of riders in some of the events - the sections have been split so please listen to the ring stewards. We will have a PA system but it will have limited projection so please dont rely on this. Below is the timetable for the day (please note this is subject to change). 03.01.2022 ** Update 11.30am, Wednesday 8 January, 2020 ** The Sale Emergency Relief Centre at the Sale Baptist Church, Princes Highway, Sale has been stood down and place...d in standby mode. It can be reactivated within 30 minutes if required. Important information about our Sale Emergency Relief Centre Our Sale Emergency Relief Centre at the Sale Baptist Church is currently at capacity. Council is also assisting with the incoming evacuees from Mallacoota via the Defence Force. For those leaving fire affected areas and do not have somewhere to stay with family and friends out of the fire zone, another Emergency Relief Centre has been set up in Morwell thanks to our friends at Latrobe City Council The Morwell ERC is located at Kernot Hall, Morwell. Bairnsdale ERC is still open and taking registrations at the football ground. The Sale Showgrounds still has room for horses and there is room to camp there with your animals.
