24.01.2022 With the Magdala Rose premiere tomorrow night and then the excitement of the Australian Screen Industry Awards (ASIN) in 2 weeks time, I expect that our actors and crew are getting quite excited.. :)

22.01.2022 Hi, I have set up this page to be the official "Magdala Rose" feature film page. I will share what I can of the creative process that is involved in the preparation and making of this movie, including writing, set, costumes and props. I will also share photos of my creative journey, and where possible, the casting, selection of crew and problems encountered at the various stage from preproduction through to the theatre release and beyond. It is a work in progress:) I have alw...ays had a love of history and doing extensive research on the times and locations for the background of this story was exciting. I ended up travelling to France to visit the locations and film them in May 2016. The film is based on a number of real events that occurred there in the thirteenth century. The original idea to write this evolved from having coffee and wine with a couple of "stage mother" friends. I had an idea, which mutated into a story, a few weeks later. I hope you enjoy the journey and eventually the movie... :) Paul Day 2016

19.01.2022 Magdala Rose has been nominated for another five awards. This time in Belgium. Katie Elizabeth Anderson has been nominated Best Actor. I’ve been nominated Best Director and the other awards are for Best Film, Best costumes, and Best Screenplay. The film will be shown in October. :)

17.01.2022 Here is the long trailer for "Magdala Rose" the medieval feature film. Written and directed by Paul Day, an Angel Studios Production from Australia... It will be premiered in S.E. Qld on 25th November.... :)

11.01.2022 This Barcelona Film Award event took place at 4am local time.

10.01.2022 They let me loose in the projection room for the morning to test Magdala Rose. With the premiere just 4 days away, it’s great to see it here on the 27 metre screen... :) As I left, I bought a coffee, now the Barista wants tickets... :)
