The Magic Breed Plus system works on a 917MHz frequency, providing it with superior range and immunity to interference. While this means that it won't work with the previous generaltion Magic Breed 27MHz antenna, we guarantee that the performance is so good that the external antenna won't be necessary!

10.01.2022 Commonly asked - DO WE HIRE ?? Magic Breed Plus does not hire out foaling alarms. Our goal with the New Generation Magic Breed Plus unit is to make the alarm system affordable to everyone. ... Many previous systems sold around Australia were so expensive that everyday people, who wished to foal a mare would find it cost prohibitive to own such an alarm system and so their only option was to hire. Do not confuse this affordability with an inferior product, along with the advanced new technologies available today came more cost effective solutions. Furthermore, when you rent a unit there is of course always a risk that it has not been regularly serviced and tested. The new Magic Breed Plus Foaling alarm has been specifically designed and tested to overcome the many issues associated with the older Magic Breed units as our environment becomes more congested with electronic noise sources such as Wifi, Bluetooth, Switch mode power supplies and the suchlike that are nowadays found in pretty much all households. 04.01.2022 Feedback we had to share from one of our New Zealand customers "Just thought I'd add - These alarms are amazing! I had a mare with a very difficult foaling, shortly after purchasing and ended up with a positive result due to the alarm going off. Then last night, I had an in-foal mare with impaction colic. ... I had the vet out in the early evening to her and it looked like she was responding well to meds etc but just in case as I went to bed I placed the foal alarm on her... luckily I did as about 3/4 hour later the alarm went off and I got out to find her thrashing about. The vet attended again and so far (fingers crossed) it looks like the impaction has cleared. So obviously I can't recommend these alarms enough... the mare last night was in a paddock behind a large pine hedge and then behind a couple of large sheds. (I don't think any other alarm would have gone off!) You'd have to say I am a very happy customer! "
