18.01.2022 ALL YOU CAN EAT! Magill Book Exchange has acquired a HUGE range of cookbooks and we have decided to have a Sale! The 'All You Can Eat' cookbook sale is now on, so come on in and see what you can cook up!... Books start at just $1 and there is *Nothing* over $5! From Australian Women's Weekly to Ainsley Harriot, Lady Flo Bjelke Peterson to Bill Granger. British, French, Spanish, Turkish and Chinese. Vegetarian, Meat Lovers, dozens of pasta dishes, er.. books and everything from drinks to desserts! Books for blokes, books for kids, books for everyone! We have somewhere between Three to Four *Hundred* cookbooks to liquidize ... er, liquidate, so please come on in and broil up a bargain! Two weeks only and bulk discounts do apply! 17.01.2022 A friend said recently that we get some strange books in this shop and well, I couldn't really disagree. This one which came in on the weekend is a Reader's Digest publication - and despite the provocative title, it's actually about herbs and natural medicines. Still qualifies as one of the odder things I've seen, though! (And I've seen a few! :P )

15.01.2022 We're going to the fair!! The Adelaide Comic and Toy Fair is coming back to Marden this coming Monday October 5th. We'll have our full range of comics there, plus a few recently acquired extras, Star Wars and Star Trek goodies and even a small range of toys! Come and say hello and... We'll see you at the Fair! :D

06.01.2022 COOKING FOR CHRISTMAS GIVEAWAY! The holiday season is here and the big day is approaching fast! (Too fast! Lol!) If you want to give a gift to yourself or someone else, we are *Giving Away* three cartons of assorted cookbooks! No Purchase Required!! (I'm just trying to cook up some extra space...) 06.01.2022 Tally Ho, Chaps! We have just acquired a large collection of 'Biggles' books by W.E. Johns. (Please see pictures below.) For anyone who grew up with Major James Bigglesworth and his companions Algy Lacey, Ginger Hebblethwaite and (later) Bertie Lissie, this a wonderful chance to introduce the kids, re-introduce yourself or just relive some simpler times. Starting at just $5 ea, these are mostly modern re-prints from Dean and Red Fox but with some rather nice vintage gems in ...there as well. (Including one early 1st edition.) They are sure to 'fly' out the door, so please feel free to either ask questions or come in and browse! I hadn't priced everything at time of photography, but paperbacks are $5 - $6. Hardcovers are $5 for the glossy-covered Deans and the rest mostly $10 with a few going a little higher depending on age and scarcity / collectibility. Happy Flying, All!

05.01.2022 Another Cheesy Post! Seriously. does anyone else think that this looks like a beach ball has landed in the middle of the cheese platter? Lol! (Yes, I know it's actually cheese, but at first glance...) Let me know 'your' thoughts in the comments.... The photo actually comes from the USA 'Better Homes and Gardens' cookbook circa 1951! One of the (Currently literally) hundreds of cookbooks we have in the shop. If you're cooking up a storm while working from home, experimenting as an amateur (or professional) chef or just looking for something new to feed the family, come in and see us! Feel free to ask / contact us if you're looking for something specific or just come in and browse - but please do it soon, as a lot of these books will be donated or sold on masse, in the next couple of weeks.
