09.01.2022 Thanks to all the parents who’ve been so understanding about not coming into the kindy. Just to keep you in the loop, today Lauren told the story of the little old lady who swallowed a fly, then she and our student teacher helped each child to plant their own seed. (These materials will be delivered to the Yellow children who are at home on Wed) Rebecca read Pete the Cat -rocking in my school shoes then had children playing the ukulele and making up a verse about what they had done at kindy. We will do some more of this.

09.01.2022 The children made apple muffins with Vicki today- she had so many helpers with carefully washed hands, and the muffins were good! Lots of measuring- cups and teaspoons, mixing and chopping. Apart from the numeracy experience of the measuring, the children referred to the recipe, literacy in action. The Green group will do this later in the week.

07.01.2022 Here are some of the experiences ready for the children last week. Measuring, comparing, and thinking about kindness and people who help us. Our kindness wall has many incidents of kindness noted, both by the children and staff. In the block area we have the emergency services workers and disabled people who we could help.

07.01.2022 Here is Isobel reading the story about the tiny seed for the children at home.

06.01.2022 The builder’s fences came down today-it looks fabulous! In case you are wondering, the logs will be rolled to a final resting place, when we work uot where that is! The children made great use of the extra space, building houses and buses, using the big pile of earth , and just running for the fun of it.

05.01.2022 On Friday ,amongst other things, we planted seeds and talked about how to use our new taps to wash our hands thoroughly. 1-wet your hands, turn tap off 2-lather your hands front back in between, fingers, up to wrists 3 tap on rinse your hands tap off 4 dry your hands. Learning outcome -children have a strong sense of wellbeing
