22.01.2022 >Qualified or Experienced< Definitely Both! If you think about updating your security at home, or even hiring someone to open your car after you lost your keys,... knowledge and experience are important. There are, however, unskilled tradespeople out there who like to refer to themselves as locksmiths, and offer the services of a locksmith, when in fact they are not. Unfortunately, you don’t need to be qualified to call yourself a locksmith. This is why you should always engage the services of a Master Locksmith. All Master Locksmiths are trade qualified. They are skilled in many areas, including lock fitting & repairs, automotive diagnostics, safe openings, servicing & repairs, alarms, CCTV, the design & manufacture of master keyed systems and more. The 4 year apprenticeship is tough, and they need to prove they are competent in all the areas listed above before they get their certificate. Hiring a Master Locksmiths means hiring a skilled tradesperson, and someone you can trust! Search for one of us here: www.masterlocksmiths.com.au

18.01.2022 > When was the last time you got a key in a hotel < You probably never ask yourself who installed all the smart locks and key card encoder in a hotel, motel or ...hostel? You probably never thought about how complicated a system must be to make sure one key card just opens the doors it supposed to. And we bet, that you never thought yourself how elaborate that system must be designed to work 24/7 on 365 days a year in every corner of the hotel, for thousand of guests a year. Thousands of guest that check in and don’t check out, that lose their cards, that need additional cards or that just can’t remember their room number anymore. And you shouldn’t have to ask yourself all these questions - because we do! We are the 700+ Master Locksmiths in Australia and New Zealand. We are specialised in modern access control and security. 15.01.2022 The Master Locksmiths Access Key (MLAK) for people with disabilities! The MLAK system is a unique and innovative system that uses a universal lock and key to al...low people with disabilities to access dedicated public facilities 24 hours a day. 15.01.2022 > Front Door Lock vs. Back Door Lock < You bought a house or just moved into your new rental, you updated the lock and you felt safe. And now all your valuables... are gone, someone broke into your home. But how? The front door looks fine! This is the moment you realise that you didn’t update the back door, the garage door, the window locks or the veranda door. Unfortunately, you are not alone! When a Master Locksmith is hired to do a security assessment of a residential or commercial property, what he/she sees quite often is a relatively modern lock at the front door and sometimes extremely outdated locks everywhere else. That is because owners usually use the front door, so it seems logical to keep that door as secure as possible. But let’s be honest, when was the last time you heard about a burglar using the front door? We recommend to assess the security of a property every 2 to 5 year, and by that, we mean every door, every window, every entrance point and every lock and every key. Because even just a small thing like a worn out barrel can be a major security hazard. Master Locksmiths are trained to find the weakest spot and then recommend a cost effective way to secure that spot. It isn’t always necessary to replace locks, sometimes an update of existing technology is enough. Get in contact with a Master Locksmith and get your property assessment tomorrow: http://www.masterlocksmiths.com.au
