25.01.2022 Are you looking for ways to help with bushfire rescue efforts? Perhaps you could knit or sew? Check this link and I will try to find some others as well. Thanks for your support everyone

24.01.2022 You’ve watched the news, you’ve scrolled through your news feed, you know Australia is engulfed by bushfires in NSW and QLD. People have lost their homes and their animals and wildlife that has survived will all need a helping hand. For all you avid knitters out there, beginners to advanced, doesn’t matter what skill level, anything you can make and donate to a registered charity would be greatly appreciated at this time. I’m including links below to several patterns ...for wildlife rescue, socks, scarfs, don’t forget that pure wool is fire retardant but it must be 100% wool. Feel free to contact the charities named in the links or if you have trouble connecting with any of them or finding one in your area, message me here. I know of some individuals making a huge effort to aggregate as many articles as possible to send directly to wildlife rescuers and charities as required. Thank you Please find more links in the comments as they are difficult to post effectively individually. http://www.kogo.org.au/patterns https://www.wrapwithlove.org

24.01.2022 I’ve created a group called Magknitude Makers especially for those who love handy hints and advice and how tos on everything knitting and related where I can focus more readily on advice and links and free patterns etc as this page was essentially set up to access products for sale and as a contact point for consultation and enquiring about customised pieces. This way I feel I can better focus on everyone’s specific needs. Please let me know if you would like to join. Thanks https://www.facebook.com/groups/2229314230694585/?ref=share

23.01.2022 Read on for more about recent opportunities that have been made available to me to grow my business/brand via the incredible journey encountered by my involvement with #globalsisters This means exciting changes coming soon! Thank you immensely to all involved in pitching, pledging and investing in these 11 businesses who got to take the stage on Wednesday 23rd October at #sisterpitch2019 @ #launchvic Docklands

20.01.2022 Here’s a video describing the great work being done in Brunei right now. I’ve posted a few times already about my involvement with this project so this time I’ll let the video do the talking. Enjoy https://twitter.com/socialgooda/status/1200666102969204736

20.01.2022 Needing a simple gift to give this time of year? How about something that’s easy to mail, even to the northern hemisphere? Or give to someone ready in time for autumn as you never really know what the Australian climate will do next. I have 5 hats ready to go in the colours pictured in the photo in varying sizes. Send me a message via the click button on this page or for more details or to order a hat in the colour or size you’d like.

17.01.2022 Huge thanks to Rural Aid for acknowledging the fundraising effort made by those who contributed to the gold coin donation for Magknitude back in October. This certificate is a thank you from them but really it is us thanking them for all the wonderful work they are doing supporting farmers!

14.01.2022 I wanted to shine a light on some of the amazing things being achieved through simple handcrafts and at the same time thank those who reliably support small businesses. Your dollar goes a long way!!! Here’s another small business not far away from me in Rosanna doing remarkable things through the craft of crochet. Enjoy

14.01.2022 I’m a huge fan of the I-cord. It’s applications are diverse and the construction is so simple! It is a great way to use up leftover yarn, even just odd strands as the ends can be woven into the middle of the tube to hide them. Once you’ve mastered this technique I’ll share the I-cord cast on and cast off. It gives a lovely professional finish to any raw edge on a garment that just needs a simple embellishment. https://youtu.be/700AG7Kvbhc

13.01.2022 Ever had the desire to just get some needles and wool and start knitting? Perhaps not knowing when you might stop...

10.01.2022 First visitor on Christmas morning! Merry Christmas everyone

08.01.2022 What a wonderful evening last night at Global Sisters Sister Pitch 2019. I had the double pleasure of getting to share my pitch and run a market stall for #magknitude. This means new things are definitely on their way. Thanks to #globalsisters and all involved for making it such a fantabulous night. 2020 here we come!

03.01.2022 EDIT: Nearly sold out already please let me know what your preference is if you’re planning to order. There may be some left in your preferred shades but I can customise a set to your liking given sufficient notice. Thank you It’s barely two days to the 1st of December. Perhaps you’re thinking about trimming a tree or decorating your house a little?... This year consider a purchase that you can treasure for years to come. Hand crafted baubles knitted with 100% pure wool stuffed with a 100% pure wool sliver. They are soft and durable and even washable (hand wash only). This year choose sustainable decor and your future self will thank you that you are not out shopping next year replacing flimsy items that barely lasted a year. These baubles have been made in 4 nature inspired colours/- PLUM, PAPERBARK, GHOST GUM AND GUMLEAF. They are available only in sets of 3 or 5. If you are looking for a different combination please let me know. Contact me by message to order or for pricing. And may this be a meaningful time of year for all

02.01.2022 It’s been a really tough start to the new year in Australia. I’ve been wondering how best at Magknitude to help those suffering through the devastation of bushfires and all the associated loss. As a registered fundraiser with Rural Aid I’ve decided to donate 100% of all profits gained from the sale of the following products which have been reduced in price to make them affordable to almost anyone.... Postage will still need to be paid I cannot offer free postage unfortunately but I would encourage anyone who is able to make a gift of their purchase and mail it on to someone who has lost everything in the fires and would appreciate some new comforting clothing. The scarves are available at $75 each. Most are a bamboo/wool blend with just two of them being 100% merino. The hats are $25 each and are all 100% merino. That’s $725 of donations in total just waiting to happen and 13 plush, cosy garments looking for a new home. Don’t wait. If you can’t partake please tell someone who you think can because you know every donated dollar will go to rebuilding someone’s new home. Please see certificate of registration below to guarantee where your funds will go to. Thank you for your support!

02.01.2022 The ‘Youth Entrepreneurs and Leaders Speaker Series’ delegations next stop is Brunei. Magknitude is delighted to be alongside 10 other sustainable fashion designers to have had the wonderful opportunity to donate a garment that will be showcased in Brunei. The Social Good Outpost will be assisting speakers from Britt’s List to run incredible workshops with some amazing young women leaders and entrepreneurs.... Great to be a part of a team of changemakers #AustraliaNow #sustainablefashion #femaleentrepreneurs

02.01.2022 Live in Brunei! How inspiring is the wall of words and the fabulous designs. Thanks The Social Good Outpost and Australia Now! (The dress I’ve designed is the garment positioned in the middle.)... https://twitter.com/socialgooda/status/1200271409945051137

01.01.2022 Wow!!! These tiny coin purses made for gold coin donation to Rural Aid were quite popular. ‘You’ the public, stall goers etc wanted to see them in all shapes, sizes and colours even as phone covers. Thanks for your wonderful response last Wednesday. Over $40 was raised for Rural Aid ... Great work everyone If I can create a product at the right price with a percentage going to Rural Aid I will make it a readily available feature. See more
