25.01.2022 The Murdoch Children's Research Institute had just released a podcast (one of 6 podcasts on parenting during coronavirus) about the impact of coronavirus on kids. It's all worth a listen!

REGISTER HERE: https://tinyurl.com/monashmagnet FOR MORE INFORMATION: https://www.monash.edu/turner-insti/research/project-magnet... SUMMARY: ***AIMS OF THE MAGNET PROJECT*** - To find better markers for ASD and ADHD to help reduce the time it takes to diagnose - To better understand the overlap between ASD and ADHD - To better understand why ASD and ADHD sometimes run in families, and other times do not ***ELIGIBILITY*** - Child aged 4-18 (either ASD and/or ADHD, or typically developing). Siblings welcome. - Children with ASD and/or ADHD with other diagnoses are welcome to take part (e.g. intellectual disability, anxiety, ODD etc). - Exclusion criteria: Children who have a known cause for their ASD or ADHD (e.g. Fragile X, acquired brain injury, cerebral palsy) ***WHAT'S INVOLVED*** - 3 hours online questionnaires about your child's development and behaviour - ~3-5 hour visit to BrainPark, Clayton, VIC. (Can be split over 2 sessions) - The research session includes completing some play-based and computer-based tasks that measure your child's thinking and behaviour - A brief clinical report is provided to families once they have participated. 14.01.2022 We want to know about your journey in seeking a diagnosis of ASD or ADHD for your child, and what support services or therapies you may have used. The Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health, Monash University, is looking for ways to reduce time diagnosis and identify ways to improve support services for families in the future. This survey will take 60-90 minutes to complete: https://tinyurl.com/monashDAMCAA

09.01.2022 Speech and language difficulties are common in ADHD and ASD. Although this research here isn't about ADHD or ASD, it's helpful to understand the broad brain networks that help pull language together.
