20.01.2022 Mount Magnet annual Race Meeting on 3/10/20- it should be Ripper, middle weekend of School holidays, camping on course Friday- Saturday nights, new Shower Block, food stalls, bookmakers, bouncie castle for children. Entertainment, cash prizes for best dressed Lady &Gent, cash prizes for Tug Of War - Ladies & gents, Calcutta to be run on the Cup Race ( last Race) , live music 4.00 pm until 9.00pm, two up after the events for the day - and so it goes on!, Come along and enjoy the atmosphere of a truly bush race meeting! See you all on the 3rd of October

16.01.2022 To anyone who is lending a hand at the bar on race day this Saturday 3rd October can you please bring a copy of your RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate as these need to be sighted and filed by approved bar manager Jason Homewood. There will be a small induction for those helping prior to volunteering with RSAs commencing work behind the bar so they are familiar with our Occasional Liquor Licence and our licensed area, service of alcohol etc, etc, etc. We are still looking for helpers behind the bar with RSAs-every set of hands is greatly appreciated even if it’s just an hour of your time. Thanks Lara and Jason (Mount Magnet Race Club Bar Managers).

09.01.2022 Just wanted to make mention that the Race Club has had items stolen, damage to buildings due to recent break ins!, as most of our community know ( some dont or dont give two FuCks) this Club like most rely on volunteers to keep them going for the local community, to provide a social event, its the tieless efforts of a Small number that give their time Year in & Year out to keep these events happening!, to see whats happened in recent weeks is very depressing, only a few that enjoy thieving, breaking & entering making more work for our volunteer helpers. It would be good for our locals to put the word out there to those involved in this reckless behaviour! The Race Club is there for the enjoyment of a race meeting- not for certain ones to wreck & Steal !! Thank You !

A record number of people for us this year and we couldn’t have asked for a better crowd of people in attendance. 08.01.2022 Mount Magnet Race Club advise All Trainers- Owners that the Club will be paying a Cash Bonus to all starters at the annual meeting on October 3rd, 2020. All that start a horse will receive $150 & for all starters after one will receive $100, bring 5 starters and receive &550.00!! This is a cash bonus towards your travel & time to make our meeting - poor fields - poor attendance!! Further 10 outside yards available- total 20 plus inside stalls, so make a effort to keep us Going! A Calcutta will be run on the Cup!

Did you know these special outback races are organised and run solely by a dedicated group of hard working, country and community minded folk, no big companies here...and we can’t wait to put all our new ideas into action next year!
