25.01.2022 Anyone who has traveled to New Zealand knows that the landscape of the South Island is epic. It is cinematic and raw. Milford Sound is a particularly dramatic and wild place of incredible beauty that will leave an impression for years to come. Have you ever visited? #travelphotography #landscapephotography #newzealand #milfordsound #newzealandtravel #travelphotographer

24.01.2022 Happy Thursday I believe the concept of this quote originates in the Bible. And what a beautiful concept it is. We can’t always be where we want to be or where we think we need to be. But we can bloom where we are, make the most of where we are. Personally, I yearn for England and Italy. But for now I’m in Sydney (which I love anyway) and so I celebrate and bloom in this wonderful city. When the time is right, I will return to the UK and Europe. Until then, I’m cultivating... joy and beauty where I am. Can you identify with this? #inspirationalquotes #inspiration #personalgrowth

24.01.2022 I am in love with the 19th Century buildings that stand small but with dignity in the city of Sydney. They are warm, elegant and ornate. This is Queen Victoria Building on a cold winter night recently. www.magnificentnow.com.au #urbanphotography #urbanphotographer #fineartphotography #fineartphotographer #sydney #sydneyaustralia #sydneycity #qvb #qvbsydney

23.01.2022 I’ve always believed that art and photographs decorating the walls and shelves of a house make it a home. What you choose for your home represents who you are, what you love, your tastes and passions. Whether it’s a few statement pieces or eclectic collections, art and photography pieces bring good feelings to your living space. My home is my happy place. Happy Friday! I hope you’re ready for a lovely weekend! ... #wallart #walldecoration #fineartphotography #fineartphotographer #floralphotography #flowerphotography #interiordesign #interiordecorating #decorating

23.01.2022 I believe it’s important to surround ourselves with beauty and what inspires us - it’s good for the soul. Life can be challenging, painful and frustrating, which is normal. But beauty balances this and replenishes our spirits. Treat yourself to something that inspires and delights your spirit this week -it’s been a challenging year. Happy Monday! 22.01.2022 Ahhh it’s good to be back in the city! It’s still quiet due to social distancing and isolation requirements, but I must admit, I’m loving it being quiet. The crisp winter evenings, clear skies and beautiful light are painting a beautiful backdrop to this lovely city. This view is on George street looking towards Circular Quay. Tram lines now dominate this road and it has made the city centre quieter and more relaxed for pedestrians. Basically, it’s awesome. I hope you’re havi...ng a chillout for midweek and if you’re in Sydney, cosy inside today. #sydneycity #urbanphotography #fineartphotography #cityscenes #cityofsydney #sydneyaustralia

21.01.2022 Ahh that glorious golden moment at sunset, when the air is still and the evening is gently folding into night. This is another photograph I took during my short stay at Kurrajong recently - a gorgeous place of verdant hills and valleys, vineyards, farms and charming villages. It was a perfect place to de-stress and let go. It’s a gorgeous sunny day in Sydney today. I hope you’re doing something lovely, wherever you are in the world ... #fineartphotography #fineartphotographer #sunset #goldenhour #landscapephotography #landscape #kurrajong #australianlandscape

21.01.2022 A gorgeous morning in the city, vibrantly lit by our quintessential summer sun After a few weeks of rain over Christmas and the new year, it’s a joy to feel and see the bright sun again. And Martin Place is a wonderful, open and stylish area of Sydney city to enjoy a morning cup of tea and watch people passing by. 20.01.2022 MYSTERY One thing I love about photography is how it marries creativity with science - it is both a technical and artistic practise. I love images that are a little abstracted, a little mysterious. You can identify what is in the image, but is an impression rather than a crisp subject. Do you see photography as an artistic practise too? 20.01.2022 I adore the mix of old and new architecture existing side by side in Sydney - a lovely harmony of history and contemporary design. Black and white allows the focus to be on the design and makes the city look classic - timeless. If you’d like something classic for your wall, I’ve got some cool fine art prints in my store (www.magnificentnow.com.au). 19.01.2022 Beautiful Oxford, UK. This is a walking town, a place of incredible architectural beauty, enchanting gardens and fabulous history. There are also some awesome shops, restaurants and cafes, all quite easy to walk or catch a quick bus to. Evening is especially lovely when the cities warm lights begin to glow and the sky turns a lovely shade of lavender. I can’t wait to travel to England again, when life has returned to normal. In the meantime, I can gaze at photographs and ...return there in my memory. Happy Monday everyone! #travelphotography #traveltheworld #englandtravel #oxford #oxforduk #urbanphotography #nightphotography

18.01.2022 ART GALLERY SUNDAYS My favourite room in the Art Gallery of NSW, hidden at the front right corner of the gallery. It is often quiet here, a cool temperature, a little darker than the other rooms, a grand marble staircase leading down to the research library. I feel inspired by the beauty of the sculptures and relaxed in the quiet ambience of the space. ... Some places just make me happy. 18.01.2022 I love the feeling of open space when I’m by the water, of wide stretching skies and gentle breeze. 18.01.2022 What is more beautiful than a garden magically lit at dusk?! My eyes are delighted! This is the Hunter Valley Gardens @huntervalleygardens decorated for Christmas as the sun set on a warm summer evening. The air was fragrant, the light was warm, the sounds were quietly joyful. 17.01.2022 Oh that magical time of evening in Australia, when the sun sets and burns orange on the horizon! To me, it is quintessentially Australian. When I flew home from England, the first time I travelled there, I remember looking out the window and seeing the blazing orange of the setting sun on the horizon - the first vibrant colours I’d seen in weeks, colours Australia is so well known for (the colours in this photograph). I felt a sense of ‘home’ immediately. 17.01.2022 Sunset is a glorious time of day. I wish I was an early bird and out shooting the sunrise, but I’ve always been a night owl and find it so hard to get up in the morning. 15.01.2022 BURBERRY, SYDNEY. I remember when this store first opened with its huge campaign posters in the windows and queue of people lining up to go in. As a lover of London, this felt like we were finally on the map. George street now holds Louis Vuitton and the Apple store, both you will see with queues of eager shoppers lining up outside at different times of the year. And now that the street is quiet with trams replacing busy road noise, it is a beautiful place to be on a sunny morning #sydney #sydneyaustralia #sydneylife #sydneylifestyle #sydneylifestylephotographer #sydneyshopping #sydneystreets #travelsydney

15.01.2022 I was surprised at how much I loved the city of Oxford when I visited, and I realised it’s because I love Roman architecture - Oxford University is filled with it! Glorious gold stone, ornate detail, spires, arches, ‘piazza’s’. Oxford is also a very walkable city (or cycling is great), so it’s easy to meander and really enjoy the streets, shops, architecture, churches and gardens. Have you ever visited Oxford? What was your favourite thing there?... Happy Monday everyone ! #travelengland #englandtravel #oxford #oxfordcity #oxforduniversity #travelphotography #travelphotographer #urbanphotography

14.01.2022 This beautiful and intriguing building standing serenely on the water at Putney is an example of intact, unchanged late 19th Century architecture in Australia. It is Thomas Walker hospital and looks as grand as when it was first built in 1886. At sunset, it only appears more serene and elegant. Happy Friday everyone!!! 10.01.2022 Sydney Town Hall at sunset is a great place to be. The gold lights emanate from the sandstone and people meet on the steps for a night in the city. 09.01.2022 HOLD ME Delicate, soft, feminine, sensual - this mood is what I sought to create in this project. Romance, beauty, warmth. 08.01.2022 Warm lights begin to glow in the slow coming of night, the blue hour, in The Rocks, Sydney. People hurry to catch trains home after work and appear like ghosts in front of my lens. When corona virus is over and life has gone back to normal, I look forward to seeing everyday city scenes again, like peak hour. Until then, let’s find joy wherever we can. #nightphotography #sydneyatnight #fineartphotography #urbanphotography #urbannight #sydneyaustralia #therockssydney

08.01.2022 Would you believe this is a park at North Sydney? When I woke to thick, beautiful fog one morning, I changed my clothes, grabbed my camera and went outside to photograph the (eerily quiet) streets, my local park busy with its regular dog walkers, people exercising and walking to work. I’d never seen my city suburb through such a beautiful veil before, and this photograph (one of a collection in my Sydney Love book) is one of my favourites - I can feel again that morning, th...e silence, the beauty. #sydney #sydneyaustralia #sydneyfog #foggymorning #fineartphotography #northsydney

06.01.2022 A warm welcome comes from this beautiful Sydney sandstone church on a lavender-skied spring evening. For me, favourite places are those that have ambience, beautiful light, a sense of warmth, and best of all, a lovely scent. 06.01.2022 Australia Square in Sydney is as impressive and domineering today as it was in 1968 when Max Dupain photographed it. It has an atmosphere that’s difficult to describe, like so many modernist style buildings. And I enjoyed observing it closely when I shot this recently.
