23.01.2022 How do you feel about having the answers or the reason why when you are facing a health concern? Probably like me, it's important to you. The "problem" that Trevor and I were faced with was the diagnosis of "secondary infertility". ... We had 2 children without trying 17 months apart. Then BAM....after 3 years of no success, we were told "you have secondary infertility. We don't know why." "Everything looks fine" Investigations and blood tests revealed nothing wrong. So, what was the hardest to bear? The lack of an adequate and reasonable answer to our problem or that our dream of more children had been stolen from us for no good reason! For us it was the lack of a reason. If we had been given a reasonable answer, we would have accepted it - but there was none. We were left with an ache in our hearts for a future that was no longer possible. Our dream had been stolen from us - just like that! Then out of the blue I was pregnant. Baby number 3 arrived after 5 years of secondary infertility for no apparent reason. 2 years later we are facing the same scenario. We found another doctor who recommended another investigation - 6 weeks later I was pregnant! Sadly, we lost that baby with a miscarriage - heart broken and devastated. We will never forget that day. Another 2 years pass, still not able to achieve, another doctor, more tests, no answers. We are recommended that I take a course of "medication" which may result in twins. We don't mind, we just want to have another baby. One course later I am pregnant with our 5th child...he arrives in our lives healthy and beautiful. That whole 10 year journey of secondary infertility was filled with unanswered questions. Why??? Why when we were able to conceive twice without trying are we suddenly struggling? Why when we were able to have 3 healthy babies suddenly loose one to miscarriage? Why did it take one round of "medication" to achieve when we hadn't had to before? Fast forward to today - I now know that there were answers, there were reasons. I now know that obtaining these answers and reasons are as simple as charting a menstrual cycle to unlock the "secrets" of what it can reveal. I now know that no couples need to experience the 10 years of confusion, grief, pain and frustration that we experienced. And that makes me very happy.

22.01.2022 After miscarriages, we know that holding our Son is because of the Magnolia team - Lily and Bernard* ---- After the two miscarriages in one year, and no success at falling pregnant after those losses, this couple were extremely fearful and sad. ... Their mutual trauma had them afraid of achieving and losing another baby, while and at the same time sad and frustrated that they had not been able to achieve since the last miscarriage. Investigations by her GP revealed nothing - both in regards to the reason for the miscarriages or the reason to not be able to fall pregnant again. 17.01.2022 We are so thrilled to announce another Magnolia Pregnancy in bloom! Pete and Cath* were so frustrated after experiencing secondary infertility for 6 long years! They were especially downhearted when the usual experts couldnt identify the reason for it after their original 2 children had been conceived naturally and without issue.... Being told by everyone around them to just RELAX and It will happen pushed them in the opposite way and they decided to be proactive instead and contacted our team. We immediately identified from timed blood tests that progesterone and oestrogen levels were low throughout the luteal phase. This was supported with HCG and Progesterone and timed to the Peak Day observation. Charting revealed Tail End Brown Bleeding ( which can indicate low progesterone throughout the previous luteal phase among other things.) 13.01.2022 "We were so weary from trying to achieve a pregnancy for almost 2 years with no explanation as to what was going on for us" That is when this couple were finally referred by their GP to Naprotechnology OBGYN specialist surgeon for investigation - Dr Brenda Miller - who in turn referred them to Magnolia to work first on getting cycle charting right, to see what might be going on. After their visit with our Magnolia team, they felt that a glimmer of hope was available to them,... and they were looking forward to starting the charting to see what they could learn. Previous blood tests revealed nothing out of the ordinary, BUT we discovered that Bec's cycles were consistently longer - up to 37 days in length - so we focussed on finding the best possible ovulation days, and optimising sexual intimacy at these times. They charted for 7.5 weeks and we introduced the use of progesterone protocol in their luteal phase until... A holiday overseas visiting family was when the pregnancy test showed positive! 03.01.2022 Four Years of actively trying, its hard to believe it only took 4 more months! -- Amelia and Leo While a very positive couple, Amelia and Leo were rather tired after four years of trying to conceive. Stepping into the journey of learning Creighton Method of charting and all the elements it entails was a last beacon of hope.... While usual GP studies hadnt brought back results to explain the infertility they were experiencing, our NaProTechnology testing revealed low thyroxine requiring thyroxine medication, positive GGT, so we commenced Amelia on a Metformin protocol. On top of this, she had confirmed PCOS which resulted in very long cycles which were hard to track without understanding best peak days. They also suffered from infrequent sexual relations as Hubby travelled frequently overseas and had 2 trips away during the 16 week period of time we were working alongside them. This is when we were able to harness the understanding gained from our best practice charting and provide them with the means to achieve the baby of their dreams. We added progesterone and HCG for luteal support to optimise conception and implantation. Indeed, they felt hopeful now that they would be having a baby regardless of how long the journey would take. 03.01.2022 Trevor and Sally* declared - We were told that we would never achieve a healthy baby naturally So thats when this couple turned to IVF initially to have baby number 1. However, when wanting to conceive baby number 2 they were informed they had to wean their breastfeeding toddler for the doctors to take on their case.... This was something they were not willing to do. But they were conscious of trying to conceive with advancing maternal age working against them. They were referred to Magnolia by an OBGYN to start charting and see what that would reveal. They thought they had nothing to lose but were not expecting that a pregnancy would happen. When the pregnancy test came back positive after charting for 3 months - whoa, there were tears of joy, confusion and disbelief. When you can fall pregnant with no intervention after being told that you will NEVER fall pregnant naturally that is understandable.
