24.01.2022 This morning Dr Catherine Cumming MLC put forward a motion asking for a committee to be formed to inquire into a strategic direction for complementary therapies... and their role in healthcare. The motion which can be read below, was unfortunately defeated 19-19 but we thank Dr Cumming for her efforts. It was encouraging to see that the Liberal Party voted in favour of the motion as did the Liberal Democrats, Shooters, Fishers & Farmers, Transport Matters, Sustainable Australia & the Justice Party showing they care about our rights to have the best possible health care in Victoria. The Greens and Independent Adem Somuryek were not present for the vote. See more
18.01.2022 Please read every word of this. Oxygen is our birthright. We should never be made to do something that is inherently harmful to us. And masks have no effect on stopping the transmission of viruses because virus particles are a tiny fraction of the size of the holes in the mask.
17.01.2022 Valuable information to help us at any time.
15.01.2022 This is an important read if you use any sort of processed vegetable oil. It took me a long time to work out why I was sick after eating out. I never have vegetable oil at home. Once I worked out the oils were causing massive inflammatory response in me, I totally avoid these oils and always check at restaurants what type of oil they use. If they use any sort of processed vegetable oil, palm oil or canola oil, I find another restaurant. Best to stick to olive oil and butter or ghee for cooking. Coconut oil is ok for some people. Almond oil and macadamia oils are great for salads but go off quickly. Pumpkin seed oil is great when fresh, but must only be used raw.
15.01.2022 Probably the most beneficial of all the vegetable groups, for many reasons, but great for clearing blocked arteries
14.01.2022 Symptoms of PCOS may begin shortly after puberty, but can also develop during the later teen years and early adulthood. Because symptoms may be attributed to ot...her causes or go unnoticed, PCOS may go undiagnosed for some time. People with PCOS typically have irregular or missed periods as a result of not ovulating. Although some people may develop cysts on their ovaries, many people do not. Other symptoms include: Weight gain. About half of people with PCOS will have weight gain and obesity that is difficult to manage. Fatigue. Many people with PCOS report increased fatigue and low energy. Related issues such as poor sleep may contribute to the feeling of fatigue. Unwanted hair growth (also known as hirsutism). Areas affected by excess hair growth may include the face, arms, back, chest, thumbs, toes, and abdomen. Hirsutism related to PCOS is due to hormonal changes in androgens. Thinning hair on the head. Hair loss related to PCOS may increase in middle age. Infertility. PCOS is a leading cause of female infertility. However, not every woman with PCOS is the same. Although some people may need the assistance of fertility treatments, others are able to conceive naturally. Acne. Hormonal changes related to androgens can lead to acne problems. Other skin changes such as the development of skin tags and darkened patches of skin are also related to PCOS. Mood changes. Having PCOS can increase the likelihood of mood swings, depression, and anxiety. Pelvic pain. Pelvic pain may occur with periods, along with heavy bleeding. It may also occur when a woman isn’t bleeding. Headaches. Hormonal changes prompt headaches. Sleep problems. People with PCOS often report problems such as insomnia or poor sleep. There are many factors that can affect sleep, but PCOS has been linked to a sleep disorder called sleep apnea. With sleep apnea, a person will stop breathing for short periods of time during sleep. 13.01.2022 Great news! Acupuncture clinics are officially allowed to reopen after the HCC (health complaints commission) dealt with a challenge that showed we should never have been closed down at all. So my doors are open for treatments any weekday at my Mornington clinic.

04.01.2022 More evidence that statins are not at all helpful for cardiovascular disease.
01.01.2022 Lots of benefits of cruciferous vegetables. This is one.
