25.01.2022 Sorry to all the Canberra people that were expecting to see us the exhibition this weekend. With Covid restrictions and now flooded roads we decided to wait until things were a bit more settled and also have had our vaccinations. Looking forward to next year though and seeing the great Magnorail systems that the club has installed.

25.01.2022 Check out my blog page at https://www.magnorailoz.com.au/blog - an interesting feedback on the best road surfaces and maintenance thereof

24.01.2022 The latest MagnorailOz newsletter is out now. Go you www.magnorailOz.com.au and subscribe

22.01.2022 Just whenI thought things were going okay and the future was looking good, I got the following email from France. Dear Clyde, We have big problems with the delivery of fast motors, expected by the end of March and now annouced for the end of May.... We try to get better delivery date, since they were ordered in february but for the moment it’s a big problem for all of us. We also work with another manufacturer to try to find a solution. But the motors have to be exactly the same, and it is not simple. For the moment, we are totally out of stock. Please understand that we do our best, and you are our priority, but we suffer the bad manufacturing delays of our current supplier. So the light at the end of the tunnel has dimmed out for the time being - again! We did get a few backorders through from stock the suppliers squeezed out for us but it seems we have to be patient again. As MagnorailOz only stocks and promotes the Magnorail system we have become the premier site for distribution, however if you visit the magnorail home site, you might find some of the European dealers have the odd set still available tucked away in their web shops - not always easy to find (or Translate), otherwise it is back to going on the wait list! Not a great way to run a business, but if you have ever run a business you will know that his sort of stuff happens. As an explanation, Magnorail cannot afford to change suppliers unless the new motors are basically clones of the old, as they must sync perfectly when used for extensions or joined together. One slight speed difference between 2 or 3 motors and the torque will pull your track and chain links apart. So patience for the right motor are where we stand - it will be worth it to bring the Magnorail Magic to your layout. Clyde MagnorailOz [email protected]

21.01.2022 Hi team - sorry for the lack of contact but we have been very busy getting Crater Lake finished for the Caulfield show this weekend. So it has been completed! The show will be its first fully operational viewing. A couple of new items will be on the layout, showing how versatile the Magnorail System is in adapting existing vehicles, boats or even killer sharks and get them moving on a layout. We are off to Europe straight after Caulfield to visit the new owners of Magnorail Fabienne and Thierry as well as the original owners Loek, David and Otto and will get some happy snaps of our meetings plus any news from Magnorail. Gareth will be running the web shop whilst we are away but I will be monitoring emails if there are any queries or requests but will rely on wifi availability so answers may not be immediate.

20.01.2022 Hi Team MagnorailOz We are still waiting on the new motors so we can get slider starter sets on the go again so Mid June is still the expected arrival date. On the show front, I have had to pull out of Waverley MRC exhibition In June due to the passing of my mother-in-law recently and now all the travel to Melbourne sorting funeral arrangements then organising her house for selling. She lived there for over 55 years so there is a lot of work to be done. Hopefully everything will be back on an even keel for the July Grampian Model Railroaders 21st exhibition on July 13 & 14TH with the new Crater Lake layout and plenty of stock to sell!

19.01.2022 See you at the show - well worth coming from Melbourne if you are in Victoria Australia

17.01.2022 New G Scale figures have arrived on the MOZ Miniatures page on our website.at $6 for a pack 3 they are obviously not in competition with the likes of Noch, Woodland Scenics or Preisser, however the detail is good and a touch up with some paint will have them looking really good. https://www.magnorailoz.com.au/sto//G-SCALE-PEOPLE-FIGURES

16.01.2022 Check out the full video on how I converted the ride on mower from a key ring to a ready to run Magnorail vehicle plus turned a trailer in to a mobile mowing service - https://youtu.be/hoZPGdAGzJM

15.01.2022 Sonny, your request on how to get a Santa, Go to www.magnorailoz.com.au for shopping options but you will have to pay for express post if you want to guarantee a Christmas delivery

13.01.2022 Had a great Weekend at the Golbourn Valley Model Train Club's show at Shepparton the other weekend. The layouts were of a high standard and it was good to see the return of the Black & White layout. after 21years it is still looking good - amazing what a long nap can do for you.! A busy time for Magnorail. I spent a lot of time answering questions for young and old and even sold a few sets which is what it is all about. People that had seen the system previously have finally ...worked out what they can do with it and there are some great ideas that are in the planning and building stages. The Magnorail System really does let your imagination go wild and allows a bit of MAGIC to be seen on your layout or diorama. The little HOe train tootled around the front of the layout whilst the windsurfers caused a lot of interest with the main commnet that people had never seen them move on a layout before! Off to China this week to celebrate a 110th birthday for one of the schools I am associated with, and then hopefully will get some time to get some more videos on to YouTube for you. More stock arriving and i am trying to build up for the Christmas rush. My associate Gareth is holding the fort whilst I am away and did a great job when we ere in Europe so keep those orders coming in and remember that I am happy to answers questions via email at [email protected]

12.01.2022 Met with Fabienne and Thierry (Terry) FRANCOIS in France and had a great time visiting their shop (Maketis Hobby Shop) and the Magnorail despatch centre (their back room at their house). I awarded them with Master Magnorail Magician certificates in honour of their passion for promoting the Magnorail System but also their creation of layouts that show the magical effect the system has on a layout once those little bikes start pedalling along. Thierry’s fruit tarts were were a treat and sealed what was a pleasurable afternoon with new friends as well as ongoing business associates.

12.01.2022 Yes we did get stock through and we have fulfilled all our backorders (over 26 of them). The web site has been updated BUT it is summer holidays in Europe now and our manufacturer is away until the end of July when hopefully we can get orders going again, BUT another BUT, there has been difficulty sourcing the medium motors and they are supposedly arriving now at the end of August which means bicycle starter kits will be restricted until early September. Once again, thank you for your patience as these teething problems are sorted - we know it has been many months but it will be worth it.

10.01.2022 Nearing the end of our Europe trip and in Prague where we have our first wet day in 4 weeks. So many ideas for Magnorail layouts and vehicles to add the MAGIC to. Gareth has been doing a great job keeping the shop wheels turning whilst I have been away and I hope your orders have been arriving safe and sound. Spent 2 days in Legoland Denmark with Monday being very quiet so just walked straight on to all the rides. Only problem was that not all food shops were open but we cope...d. It is children orientated but still plenty for adults to do. The rides are calmed down from usual fun park rides but my hair still stood up on the roller coaster and got wet on the various flume rides. Highly recommend if you have kids or grandkids to take along - but not cheap - but then it is one of those experiences you cannot replicate anywhere else. Stayed in Legoland Hotel so just walked straight in to park. Food as a whole was very very dear in Denmark- but you have to eat! For those of you into LEGO we will be doing some trials in the near future with Magnorail which will hopefully see some exciting opportunities thanks to new product development and upgrades by Magnorail France.

10.01.2022 The new Magnorail Power supplies are so cool! No big transformers or multiple switches. Magnorail only goes one way and that is forward! The controller comes with a detachable plug that you permanently attach your wires into (remembering if you are operating more than 1 motor on your track, run them in parallel through your single controller). Once connected you can just plug or unplug your power controller when travelling with your layout or need to keep it out of the way wh...en not operating. The power supply can be purchased with a European plug which Australia and SE Asia & New Zealand will need a common travellers outlet converter fo match your local PowerPoints - very cheap at your local hardware or cheap shop outlet - The USA ones are only 110v so only suitable in countries with that voltage in their home power outlets. The USA plug will be available at the end of July so keep checking the web site for when catalogue # MZA-20 appears. I used one of these controllers at a three day train exhibition with 2 motors attached and it worked flawlessly with out any overloading or over-heating. Drop me a line at [email protected] with any queries Happy modelling - Clyde

09.01.2022 Latest Magnorail Magician - check out his layout https://youtu.be/bFoxNJQr8iw

09.01.2022 Hi Team Magnorail - Yes stock will be arriving soon and hopefully no more hiccups. Thanks to Fabienne and Thierry and the family for getting things sorted and back on track. I will not be taking any more backorders and will sort out the outsatnding orders and then the surplus will be going back on the web, so watch the shop for updates in the next few weeks. As a treat check out the video below from Master Magnorail Magician John Wardley who has created a little scenario usin...g the Magnorail system and his creative skills and imagination. I will be encouraging John to do some more videos on how he created this little scene. I am sur eit will be a winner if he displays it as exhibitions - Well done John Finally thank you for your patience in the wait since the change of ownership of Magnorail but there is more exciting things happening in the future so watch this space!

08.01.2022 Had a good weekend at both Warrnambool and Geelong train shows over the last month. It is obvious that the word is getting out amongst the model train fraternity that Magnorail really can add a bit of magic to your layout. It was nice to meet a few people at the shows who are subscribers to my YouTube channel - a shout out to Bill who introduced himself as a long time subscriber - its nice to know people are enjoying the channel which by the way has just gone over 1400 subscr...ibers, with hundreds signing up in the last few months. Looking forward to Ararat Show on Feb 16 & 17th at the Alexander oval centre and then back up to Kyneton for the March long weekend for their show. Geelong was actually my first show 12 month ago and it was great to meet Mark again, who was my first sale and he had some great photos of his layout with his Magnorail system in place. He is still fine tuning things but it looks really cool. I would love to see all your photos at what ever stage you are at with your layout - so email them to me tor links at [email protected] See more

08.01.2022 Well, some of you must be wondering what is going on with MagnorailOz - I can tell you we are still alive and kicking but have had a few setbacks both business and family wise. The passing of my mother in law has meant great chunks of time having to travel to Melbourne (6hr return trip) weekends away etc this tied in with the fact that Magnorail have ongoing problems with motor manufacturing has meant a real roller coaster ride. We have been receiving some stock and I have be...en honouring my back order list which is just about complete. I am presently rushing to finish the new Crater Lake Magnorail layout which has also suffered because of time away from home for the Grampian Model Railroaders 21st exhibition this coming weekend (July 13th & 14th 2019). See the post below! Hopefully I will have stock to sell at the show and after that I will update the web site, so 16/7 will see the web shop refreshed. There are still problems with motors but the Magnorail team have sourced a new supplier and fingers crossed all motors will be operational by the end of August. I know you are frustrated as am I and the Magnorail team. Remember that this is not a big company like Tyco or Hornby but a small business trying to please a growing community of creative hobbyists with a unique system for their train and model layouts. Thank you for your patience and support and yes there will be YouTube updates - all filmed but - you guessed - no time to do the editing yet.. Oh did I tell you that i badly sprained my wrist while moving furniture at mother in laws house clean up this week -( sixty years of accumulated memories to get through - and she kept everything) so I couldn’t do anything for three days as the pain was extremely intense, with no sleeping nights and constant pain even with my arm in a sling and strong pain relief medicine that only took the top level pain down to a more bearable level. So in the words of Buzz Lightyear - Onwards and Upwards TO INFINITY AND BEYOND because we have to keep looking to a bright future, work through the present tribulations and learn from the past! Happy hobbying - Clyde

07.01.2022 Caulfield show was a great success and introduced a lot of people to Magnorail. System which went flawlessly but a kid knocked over my HOe loco and it stopped working - hope that’s not $300 done - great to meet people that have been loyal YouTube subscribers plus customers. It is nice to be part of a greater family especially when we are tucked away in a small town in regional Victoria. My wife Lois helped keep the roads clean. Amazing how much dust get deposited in an airconditioned exhibition over the weekend! We are on instagram now - just look for magnorailoz - still getting my head around all the multi media stuff so bear with me.

07.01.2022 STOCK ARRIVING IN APRIL - AT LAST! Thank you for your patience - it has been a steep learning curve for the new owners and they have tried to overcome some shortages, especially in the supply of motors which have been slow in getting manufactured. An email today says that the motors are due by early April and boxed sets will once again be able to be produced. The pent up demand has been huge worldwide, with their initial manufacturing order double of the purchases during 20...18, yet the first order delivered will only cover backorders so a new manufacturers order is well under way. So you should see Starter Sets appearing on web sites in the latter part of April. Regrettably when stock does arrive there will be price rises on most of MagnorailOz items, mainly due to the poor standing of the Aussie dollar against the Euro and the US$. (Obviously that is good news if you are in the USA) This tied in with an increase in the wholesale prices and substantially dearer freight from France than the Netherlands which we cannot afford to absorb. Even so, the MAGIC of the Magnorail system is a lot cheaper than having to run a fleet of non digital Faller Cars that zip around at unrealistic speeds. You will also have noticed that you can no longer buy the individual bicycles in kit form, so you will now be receiving hand assembled and painted bicycles across the range. This does exclude the bicycle starter set, which still comes with a male and female cyclist that require assembly and painting. If you are all thumbs (and there are very small parts in the assembly) Would recommend buying the slider starter set and purchase ready to run bicycles. With a small train controller you can bring the fast speed motor down to an acceptable pedalling rate.

04.01.2022 Magnorail meets LEGO continues to entertain @ Sandown Hobby Show - especially the oldies with our 30 year old LEGO vehicles with a new lease of life- video on YouTube - klstchco56 - will show later in week as to how it was made

04.01.2022 Touring Europe at the moment and doing a lot of train travel. Used the new FLIX budget train from Berlin to Frankfurt- only 20 but un-airconditioned and noisy! The trip from Frankfurt to Paris was in a new TGV and was luxurious compared to FLIX . Enjoyed using the trams in Berlin as they are very reliable and efficient. Saw model of the Berlin Hauptbahnhoff (see photo) at the station which was in HO scale and very impressive with all the various interchange layers BUT the station has only one toilet across 4 floors AND you have to pay!!!!! Will keep you updated on our travels and some interesting Magnorail people we will be meeting.

02.01.2022 MagnorailOz Newsletter now available through subscription via web site at www.magnorailoz.com.au

02.01.2022 Finally had some quality time in front of the computer and to do some housekeeping. A couple of new videos on YouTube completed with more on the way. The trip to China was great, meeting some old friends at Taishan No 1 High Schools 110 birthday celebrations. Thousands of present and past pupils in attendance. Bought some larger scale vehicles to trial on the Magnorail system to see how they pull along. Had arranged to visit one of my suppliers of scale figures in Shenzhen but he pulled out on the day - that’s China for you, you have to learn to go with the flow. Have sourced some new vehicles which I will showcase in the new year. Stock flow is back on an even keel now with Thierry and Fabienne (Magnorail owners) having sorted supply chain issues. New bicycles hopefully available by Christmas.
