19.01.2022 This edible coffee cup is made by Good-Edi and it recently won the Taronga Zoo Hatch Accelerator Program. I believe they have already received orders from cafes... and the cup comes in two sizes (costs the same as ordering an alternative milk). The cups are made in Melbourne and their crowdfund link is here: https://readyfundgo.com/project/good-edi-edible-cups/ While ultimately we want to be using the reusable cups we already have in the system, we will need some smart ideas while making the transition. The Hatch competition had 5 terrific finalists and I’d urge you to check out and support the other initiatives: Poop Loop which collects dog poo from parks and turns it into compost. Tom Bag which is a reusable garbage bag. Replated which is a keep cup type initiative for take away containers. Everey Drop which tracks and displays your water consumption. There is so much creativity and ingenuity happening in the ecological space right now and it’s bloody exciting #circulareconomy #zerowastehome
