07.01.2022 These Doomadgee beauties are modelling gowns donated by the Zonta Club of Cairns in support of a NAIDOC Ball being held in Doomadgee on Thursday 8 July. Do you ...have a gown, accessories, shoes or male black trousers, a white shirt, bowtie or tie and/or men's shoes you are happy to donate??? Many people just can't afford to invest $100's for one night but really want to go to the Ball. Donations can be posted to Yolonde Entsch at PO Box 14, Bungalow, Qld, 4870 or left at the Women's Yarning Place (inside Cairns Villa & Leisure Park, 28 Pease St, Manoora) or at our Federal Member's Office, 200 Mulgrave Road, Westcourt. Wouldn't you like to see more smiles like these ones... Special thanks to Doomadgee Aboriginal Shire Council who have kindly agreed to cover the cost of freight of the dresses from Cairns to Doomadgee.

06.01.2022 Join Bo & I for a Tea and Weaving Women’s Circle on Saturday 13 March 10am-1pm. Rotary Club, Ashmore. In this circle you will receive a weaving starter kit. If you have been before message me for a special ticket price of $45 Last year all our women's circles were full and we feel it is important for women to come together especially at this time of change in history to connect and immerse ourselves in the wisdom of tradition, herbs and weaving. Weaving in a circle is a powerful way for us connect to each other and nature. We will discuss how to energetically clear space as you weave and why weaving is seen a beautiful practice in many traditions and cultures. https://fb.me/e/3EUTuoJOA
