19.01.2022 Some really great performances on both sides tonight! Marko Milutinovi was certainly a rock for us with some very solid defence, Willem Lejeune is a master class shot stopper. And the slip through pass from Dylan D'Agostino to Masi Benjamin for the goal, simply beautiful piece of play. Kyren Walters unlucky not to grab a goal or two, Lathan Dunn yet again showed why he is absolute class, and Jordy Vleugels is a true talent! 2021 looks like a year for Magpies Crusaders United.

12.01.2022 REMINDER - SAP PROGRAM / TRIALS Last trial day for this year this on Sunday The SAP (Skill Acquisition Phase) program will look to keep moving forward in 2021 and welcomes interest from new and current players. This program is a training program that trains twice a week in addition to the players local club training making a total of 3 sessions a week. Players then play for their local club and then get the opportunity to represent MCU and Mackay at the Football Q...ueensland State SAP Carnivals. The 2021 SAP Program will look to begin in late/early February. Part of the program is having developing MCU coaches work alongside the Brisbane Roar staff to be mentored so that their knowledge can be used in Mackay and Magpies Crusaders United. 03.01.2022 Former Crusader Joins Brisbane Roar Academy: Former Crusader Goalkeeper, Mitchell Perkins has recently been identified and offered a spot by Brisbane Roar Academy in their 2021 U23s. Dean May head of Goalkeeping for the Academy and National Youth League said the below about Mitch: "We are delighted to have Mitchell Perkins join Brisbane Roar Academy for the 2021 season.... Having observed him over several games during his time at East FC, it was clear to see he possesses the natural attributes to become a high calibre Goalkeeper. Even in the short time I have worked with him he has demonstrated a wonderful work ethic, and desire to learn. From everyone I spoke to before inviting him there were the common comments of great lad, good work ethic. He is by far the finished product and 2021 will be an important year for him, with him being part of the BRFC U23 squad. He is a Mackay boy and brings that country friendliness and work ethic with him." Mitchell, a former Crusader who started his journey at Mackay Wanderers, moved down to Brisbane and played with Mitchelton and Easts FC respectively before joining Roar.
