24.01.2022 The Sapphires class over the past few weeks have been observing the life cycle of butterflies. A number of monarch butterflies have become a welcome addition to the classroom. However the time came for the class to say goodbye to their more recent additions. Whilst sad, a student exclaimed, "Ms James, the nature of life is to grow, so it was the right thing to do to set them free.
24.01.2022 We want to share our deep appreciation to Indigenous Elder Uncle Trevor Gallagher, for taking our Year 6 students along the Darebin Spiritual Healing Trail. This is the final rite of passage for our students before they embark on their new journey at Secondary school next year. We will miss you all.

23.01.2022 Excursion to Van Gogh Exhibition: "On Wednesday we went to the National Gallery and it was the best excursion in the world! I loved all of the pictures and he did of the seasons. My favourite season is Summer and the fountain was very nice." -Grade 1

19.01.2022 Wonderful to have the Chinese students back again for the second year. We were all able to learn much more about Chinese culture with dumplings and lantern making. A special thank you to the parent/chef from the 5 star hotel in Shenzhen who helped teach us about traditional dumplings. Yum!
18.01.2022 Homework club has gone off with a bang this term! Two-thirds of the students have signed up for a club. Very excited for cooking, technology, drama, and gardening.

17.01.2022 Our annual Mothers Day Breakfast gives us a chance to celebrate and thank the wonderful mothers, grandmothers and special women in our school community. Our students really enjoyed the chance to look after their mums by bringing them a flower and some morning tea. Thanks very much to the dads, uncles, grandads and brothers who came in to help serve all the food and make the coffee and tea.

17.01.2022 We started our school year with a number of students from China whose parents wanted them to enjoy an Australian School experience! They chose Maharishi School because of our schools philosophy and the manner in which we care for our students. They enjoyed an exceptional two weeks at our school and made new friends, finishing off their stay with a special Aussie Morning Tea. We said goodbye with a Farewell Assembly and an exchange of gifts between our school and the students. Maharishi School students have now made a number of new friends overseas who have now experienced why we are so proud of our own school.
16.01.2022 Chinese Lantern Making was a big hit with our students when our visiting Chinese Students, here for a two-week Short-Term Study Program, guided them in creating some impressive lanterns.
16.01.2022 We are delighted to announce a number of scholarships to be made available to students who identify as Koorie or Aboriginal. The scholarships are: the Reg Blow Scholarship for Indigenous boys, and the Coates Family Scholarship for Indigenous girls. Applications can be made by contacting the General Office.

11.01.2022 The students are having a smashing time with our beautiful new table tennis tables. Thanks Paul, from Table Tennis World, for helping us to set them up! Its been so amazing to see our new generation of table tennis stars serving it up at lunch time and during our after-school Fitness Club.
11.01.2022 The Lego Land Discovery Centre was thoroughly enjoyed by the Pearls. The students were amazed by the mini Lego Melbourne City, 4D cinema and Lego spinning top class.
10.01.2022 One little piggy went to market, one little piggy stayed home Our Year Prep - 2 students are creating art work on the Three Little Pigs. These Prep boys have proudly created a brick background to house their pigs!

08.01.2022 The Prep students were really excited to use our brand new PMP (Perceptual Motor Program) equipment. They practiced balancing, jumping, catching and throwing. Each week they work on developing gross and perceptual motor skills. Thanks very much to all the parents who come to help each week!
07.01.2022 On Friday, our students were delighted to welcome the Barking Spider Visual Theatre to our school. The workshops engaged our students in the collaborative making and operating of a puppet made exclusively from newspaper and masking tape. The Art Room was buzzing with creative energy. Thank you to the two extremely talented and passionate artists, Laura and Chloe, for inspiring and bringing out the creativity in our students during these workshops.
06.01.2022 This year our Year 3/4 (Diamonds) students attended a special overnight camping experience. Zoo Snooze provided our students with a unique overnight educational experience at Melbourne Zoo. They were engaged in a survival camp, where they got to know the animals of the Zoo as they have never known them before. They learnt their stories, their secrets and the adaptations that allow them to survive.
