26.01.2022 Afghan orphans celebrate first Australia Day in Sydney The life for the children who are here, it's beautiful. They just wear their uniform and go to school." Yesterday, they celebrated their first Australia Day at an event in Marsfield, where they were joined by other refugees from around the world.... Laughter and music filled the air. Some children sat quietly as they ate a traditional Afghan feast, while others played games in the sun. But only four months ago, the lives of these 10 orphans from Afghanistan was far from idyllic. As the Taliban offensive escalated in Afghanistan last September, the children were brought to Australia in a daring evacuation mission. Only 17 people, including the 10 orphans, were approved for Australian visas at the time, according to Mahboba Rawi. "Like the people who are Australian and celebrate, I have a love for this day because Australia has given me a better life away from war and away from every difficulty." - Latifa See more

16.01.2022 We concentrated our efforts on the 900+ families camped outside Kabul and the Panjshir Valley community who had no access to food and essential necessities in 2021 during the immense Humanitarian crisis. Everyday, more orphans, widows, and families were displaced. We provided food and basic necessities to a community of over 1,000 individuals in this region. We raised $300,000 in August. As we continue to do what we can on the ground we are making an appeal for inter...national intervention from global NGO’s to assist us reach more people in need of our help. With so many families displaced after a harrowing year of disaster, upheaval and uncertainty, giving has never been more needed this season. Thank you to everyone who has supported us, without you our work would be unattainable. We urge you to think of the vulnerable this festive season and donate generously to provide them with much needed relief. With your support, Mahboba’s Promise will continue to focus it’s efforts to provide food, shelter and warmth to the growing number of displaced communities in our camp in Kabul with daily food packages and monthly food supplies including: Freshwater Warm clothing Blankets and Firewood These will help them survive the bitter winter months ahead. 04.01.2022 It’s been 3 weeks since Parwan and Panjshir provinces in Afghanistan were hit by massive flash floods and mudslides. Over 100 people have lost their lives, many of them children, and many more are still missing. An estimated 2000 people have lost their homes, their crops, and their livelihoods. Schools, houses, and shops that had taken extensive time to build have been wiped away in one night, leaving residents with nowhere left to call home. The suffering these people hav...e experienced is unmatched. Vulnerable people have been left in desperate need of food, water, shelter and relief. Children have been forced to witness their homes and belongings being washed away. Thanks to your generous donations, Mahboba’s Promise has been able to provide essential food packs to 100 families, each including cooking oil, rice, peas, beans, potato, onion, and drinking water. Mahboba’s Promise has also taken steps to improve the wellbeing of affected children; providing them with counselling and engaging them in arts and crafts, with each child receiving care packs containing drawing notebooks, pens, pencils, cookies, and toys. Mahboba’s Promise still needs your support in order to provide food, clothing, and basic supplies to those affected by this devastating event. These people have lost everything including their houses, livestock, and land, and our teams have been mobilized on the ground in affected areas for relief efforts and community assistance. Without your help, Mahboba’s Promise will not be able to extend the support that is so desperately needed. Please help those most impacted by the floods and support those in crisis to rebuild their lives. Donate at our website today.

02.01.2022 At least a quarter of Afghan children between ages 5 and 14 work to help their families. According to Human Rights Watch, these jobs can often be harmful to children, including working in the metal industries or begging on the streets. When children are working to earn an income for their families, they are often forced to leave school. Currently, 50% of child laborers do not attend school. Donate to help these children today.
01.01.2022 Today is International Teacher's Day! They are the future leaders of our world and we will continue to provide access to education to those that are most vulnerable. You can donate to our various education programmes at our website today.
