21.01.2022 Over the years we are continually hearing that employees also want their children to be safe and have the skills to assist them with their online experiences. We use the power of practical awareness, interactive content, conversation and compliance to improve behaviours and awareness. Our sessions are two-fold giving carers of young people the ability to recognise dangers and arm them with the knowledge to have these conversations. Choose from our inventory of modules rangi...ng from short and focused to more dynamic, hands on interactions. Our employee sessions include: Cyber Security Defence Network and Device Security Digital Resilence Reputation Management Our experts have years of law enforcement experience and we work with organisations ranging in size, from government departments, the media and entertainment industry, sporting industry and small business. 17.01.2022 The fear is real ! I have taught many over the years on protecting your own personal data on social media. At first it was mainly on the vulnerability of identity theft, fraud and access to your home and children. Now it has evolved to the concerns of how your data has been shared amongst companies. To meet this challenge we will require both vigilance and vision, from businesses and their customers, as well as governments and policy makers. Social media users are only now ...realising how easy it is for unaccountable and unknown organisations to assemble detailed digital profiles of them. They do this by combining the discrete bits of information consumers have given up to social media applications, health sites, quiz apps and countless other digital services. Only advice is ... remember nothing is for free when downloading that next app

15.01.2022 Fantastic night chatting about social media security #WomeninMedia

15.01.2022 Next stop is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority, Germany. Sharing experiences about the challenges and common points of vulnerability for companies with access to personal data. The global issues are consistent and once compromised expose individuals and companies to the possibility of cyber threats, phishing emails, scams & identity theft. To name a few ! Many organisations are still unclear about the ways that they are vulnerable. One critical threat continues to be the amount of personal information shared on social media and lack of internal governance of what employees are sharing about their workplace. Education and building sustainable cyber security culture within is the key #thehumanfactors #dataprotection

14.01.2022 I learnt this week from Yury Fedotov, Executive Director of the United Nations that the only next steps to address cybercrime, including online abuse and data breaches are to improve prevention, education and crisis models as the only way to ensure that the internet is used for good not evil

13.01.2022 Hackers maybe causing data breaches but human error is not far behind. Since the government’s Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme was introduced on February 22, organisations are becoming more aware of cyber security, however in the last quarter the 3 main reasons were: malicious or criminal attacks (59%), human error (36%), and system fault (5%). Some of these can be avoidable with the right training and awareness to avoid phishing, malware, ransomware, compromised or st...olen credentials, hacking, theft of paperwork or data storage devices, and breaches caused by rogue employees and insiders. If your business maybe at risk we can help you with our customised work place programs, policies and response models. Contact us: Aust toll free 1800 836 159 Email [email protected]
