20.01.2022 COVID-19 Wow, who saw this coming? We have had 5 events cancelled within the week.. and 1 x family holiday at the end of the season we have been planning & looking forward to.. gone overnight! Yes I am disappointed.. anxious .. and unsure of times ahead... ... but we have to try & find a silver lining - hopefully the actions taken now will save lives.. because thats what its really all about isnt it? The survival of my parents, your grandparents, the elderly, the young and those people already compromised ... Fingers crossed my events will postpone and NOT cancel, and we will all return within the next few months... rested, renewed & full of hope for what remains of 2020. In the mean time - support your local businesses, treasure the family time you may not normally have, check in on your neighbours and remember to be kind to one another... 17.01.2022 Times are tough right now for each and every one of us.. the worldwide impact of Covid-19 has affected our freedom, our jobs, our families and the very essence of our daily lives. However, please remember we are the lucky ones... while many of us are disappointed our holidays may have been cancelled - We can still afford to go to the shops, to fill our pantries / fridges / freezers and some days afford a takeaway family meal. There are so many people in desperate need right... now, without even the most basic items we all take for granted just to survive. So I am asking you all a favour. If you can spare $30 or $50 for our beautiful island friends, there is an amazing group of volunteers in Lombok who are travelling all over the island preparing and delivering food packages to our most vulnerable families. $30 will feed a family of 4 ppl for 1 week, and $50 covers a families basic needs for a fortnight. Please skip that next takeaway - and lets help each other out. After all, were all in this together...
