17.01.2022 I am often asked where I go for a massage, so I am going to start sharing my experiences with you all. We are really lucky to have such passionate therapists in & around Gympie. TREATMENT REVIEW... My first ever Ayurvedic massage, and I am pretty sure my first Ayurvedic experience outside of tongue scraping, oil pulling & the neti pot (I'll get to that another day) was with Kerrie who has had a very traditional education in the Hindu system of medicine. The 2 hour...s melted away under the soothing rhythm of Kerrie's hands & the delight of hot oil, I don't have much to say about this, as I was blissfully dreaming, flat out in her comfortable room... But the finish, I was aware of this, as I had to sit up for the hot oil head massage, and neck draining... a scalp softening & delightful end to a timeless 2 hours. Kerrie then gave me some warm water & sat and chatted, about general Ayurvedic principles & healing choices, this was softly put, and provided a gentle time to return to the land of awareness, preparing me to drive (if you can get picked up, do!). Kerrie provided specific instruction on what to expect & prepare for, and follow up self-care. My experience/feelings about the treatment were that my whole being was nurtured through a complete, thorough, full-body, gentle yet deep, the release of muscle, a freeing of joints, a nourishing cleanse of the tissues of the body, a gentle balancing of the digestive system, an easing of the nervous system into calm... a full rest & reset. #gympiebusiness #supportlocal #relaxation #ayurvedic #treatmentreview #maiawellbeing #maiamovement

Have you heard, "fake a smile to feel happier", if not, try it... the theory is the action of smiling sets off a reverse effect, to your chemical messengers to feel good. So feeling good sets off messengers which makes you smile...... we flow both ways, what we eat affects how our skin looks, what we put on our skin affects our gut... Anxiety is a big topic, but we have to start somewhere, and knowing that anxiety is a perfectly natural human response to ensure our survival, it is as important that you know how many daily activities & choices impact your breath & posture (muscles & skeleton).
