10.01.2022 Wednesday Tip BATHROOMS & TOILETS The bathroom and toilet gets a lot of traffic in most homes and can get pretty dirty if you dont keep it tidy between major cleans.... Doing these small and simple tasks daily will keep them looking clean, organised and company ready and best of all it doesnt take long. To do this you will need to keep a couple of things in your bathroom: 1. Micro fibre cloth 2. Micro fibre mop 3. Paper towels or cleaning wipes 4. Cleaning spray After each shower use a squeegee on your shower glass to remove water, to prevent water marks and the build-up of soap scum. After everyone has finished using the bathroom spend a few minutes to do the following. Sanitise the toilet by spraying around the top, seat and rim with your favourite spray cleaner. For me I make up a spray bottle of 1 cup vinegar, 1 cup water and 1 tablespoon of dishwashing detergent. Swish the toilet bowl with the toilet brush and then wipe down with paper towel, toilet paper or if you prefer cleaning wipes (but please do the environment a huge favour and dont flush the cleaning wipes down the toilet). Put away any items that do not belong on the vanity/benchtop. Using your micro fibre cloth wipe off any marks on the mirror, then wipe over vanity, benchtop and sink. The final task use the micro fibre mop to sweep the floor of hair and debris. And there you have it your bathroom and toilet will always look clean and be company ready with only a few minutes each day. This little routine also works a treat for those households who have a regular cleaner to maintain that professional clean feeling between cleans.
