25.01.2022 MAIN RIDGE TENNIS COURTS are open to MEMBERS Rules for tennis to resume. http://comms.tennis.com.au/a/hBeufwLB8tVaBB913qIAACYz/link8 Clubhouse and toilets will remain closed. Public toilets are open near playground.... Social tennis and coaching can resume on courts 4 & 5 Bring your own racquet and tennis balls. Sanitize hands before entering courts and adhere to social distancing rules. Limit of 10 people at courts and anytime. SMS Tamara for Juniors 0416171854 or Anne 0408382453 with players and spectators names and date / time of visit to courts. We have to keep record of everyone using courts. The front courts are having lights installed and have to be cleaned as a build up of moss has occurred. These rules will stay in place until further notice. COURTS REMAIN CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC

21.01.2022 As you are aware the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation is developing rapidly and additional measures are being introduced every few days in response, in order to reduce the spread of the virus and keep the community safe. This means our facilities (clubhouse and courts) are closed as of Thursday 26th March until further notice



21.01.2022 Updated rules November 8th Relevant Rules to follow : The directions of the Victorian Government for Metropolitan Melbourne as relating to tennis are: * A facility that is used predominantly for outdoor non-contact sport or physical recreation may open for the purposes of providing that activity.... * No more than 10 participants in a group and not more than 10 in total at the outdoor facility at any one time except where a reasonable distance can be maintained at all times. A reasonable distance has been defined as 10m by State Government in the Industry Restart Guidelines: Community Sport and Recreation (Pg 2, Facility Use and Access). *Singles and Doubles play permitted * Community tennis competition can restart. For the purposes of competition, you can have as many people present at the venue as required to run the competition. *One supervisory adult is allowed on site per child. Spectators are not permitted. *Coaches and staff or volunteers running the facility can be present. Please note, however, the Directions specifically state that these additional people must be ...only the minimum number of employees or agents (of the owner of the facility) necessary to safely operate the facility... *Everyone in the facility must practice physical distancing at all times by being 1.5m apart from one another. *There are no limits on travel distance to attend a tennis competition or club. *Indoor tennis can return with some restrictions (see below). *Changerooms and toilets can open, clubhouses and indoor sitting areas must remain closed. *Equipment can now be shared provided it is cleaned between users. *Records must be kept of all members of the public using the facility. You may want to use this QR Code resource to assist with participant tracking and encourage facility users to download the COVIDSafe app. *If you operate a canteen, café, restaurant, fast food or cafeteria please refer to the guidelines for hospitality for how you may be able to operate. I feel very sad today , I have to stop my day by day job and is been really hard, I would love to say thanks to all ...my student from main ridge tennis club. Its been now almost 3 years, and every day I get the best out of it. I just spend my time making this video, I hope you guys like it and get a little bit happier. this situation that we are today is not our fault, all we can do at this point is follow the government and stay at home. After all this pass we will get stronger and better. all my condolence to Spain and all the friends and family that I got there, take care your self guys. I hope I will see all of you again. And thanks for giving me the chance to coach tennis all of you. thanks!!!!!!!!

13.01.2022 MATCHES POSTPONED In light of the recent postponement and cancellation of sporting events around the country due to coronavirus (COVID-19, the Southern Peninsu...la Tennis Association has decided to postpone Rounds 8 & 9 of the current season due to medical advice received from Tennis Australia. This means that Monday Night Social Comp, Wednesday Night Mens, Thursday Night Ladies and Open Court Sessions, will be postponed for the next two weeks, with the aim to commence play after the school holidays as usual and playing Rounds 8 & 9 at the end of the season. This decision is based on expert medical advice and is inline with the recommendations of the global tennis community. We realise this may cause inconvenience in the short term, however our objective is ensuring our community remains healthy and strong. We will continue to keep you updated and thank you for you cooperation during this difficult time. Please pass this message onto all of your teams participating in the night competition. 02.01.2022 Hi: Guess what!!!! tennis is back, I am very glad that we drop that covid numbers, very glad about all the Victorians how they beat this virus, to be ho...nest one of the best cities in the world, I know and I truly get it, is been hard for all of us specially people like me who spend most of the day routine outside. Spending some time in my house make me realise how lucky we are and how good is this country, been missing al of you so much and I can wait to see you again back at the tennis court.
