02.01.2022 FANCY A WALK? The Federation Walk is a trail that hugs the coastline along The Spit, Main Beach. You can walk or ride for kilometers in a natural bushland. Thanks to the ongoing and unfaltering support of this community group- Friends of Federation Walk. Established in 1999, to date they have officially announced the planting of 1,770 plants in the ground with their regular community planting projects. Thanks to the Friend of Federation Walk and the community the Fede...ration Walk is now preserved in The Spit Master plan as an area to enjoy nature, environment and lots more! The park will now be under the management of the City’s Natural Areas Management Unit (NAMU). If you are interested in knowing more or getting involved, SAVE THE DATE September 28th where they will be working in with Gold Coast Waterways Authority's initiative 'SOWING SEEDS FOR THE SPIT MASTERPLAN'.
