23.01.2022 We are living in a world where there is so much to worry about. It would be so easy to join the throngs of people who have resorted to panic. Panic buying. Panic hoarding. Panic reading and sharing of articles that fuel further panic. And why wouldn't we panic? We are confronted with an invisible enemy that has disrupted our life entirely and threatens to take away much that we hold dear, whether it be loved ones, health, financial stability, our social life, our freedom. But we DO have control over how we respond. We can be calm. We can be loving. We can leave the extra toilet paper packs on the shelf for another person. Our calmness or our panic is contagious. Our children will copy our response. Our neighbours, our friends, our family will also react to our response. Respond calmly. Respond in love.

13.01.2022 Dear mainly music Bassendean community, CORONAVIRUS We regret to inform you that this Tuesday will be our LAST session until further notice. Many experts are encouraging everyone to practice social distancing and since we have many members who are vulnerable, we have decided not to take the chance. The rapid spread of COVID-19 around the world has proven that it is better to act preemptively rather than wait for it to hit our community.... However, on Tuesday we do request the following: -PLEASE only parents to handle the food and use tongs provided -PLEASE wash hands before morning tea, either with soap or hand sanitiser provided -PLEASE don't attend if anyone in the family is unwell or has been overseas recently or have been in contact with anyone who have been tested positive for COVID-19 We are planning on providing activity packs at a later date to help keep the kids entertained during this time. We pray that this will only be a short break and that our community will be spared from this virus and the subsequent heartache of disease, discomfort and inconvenience. Please feel free to PM any prayer requests for our team or any questions. We understand if anyone decides not to attend this Tuesday due to social distancing/self-isolation.

10.01.2022 Dear Mainly Music family, We hope you all are doing well! We are constantly thinking and praying for you guys and are eagerly awaiting our sessions to recommence. We had planned to restart when the state entered Phase 5 of covid-19 restrictions but that has been delayed now and the date set is still tentative. Therefore we still don't have a recommencement date.... As you can imagine, mainly music will be fairly tricky to run if we still need to disinfect all surfaces and keep to a certain distance from one another. Additionally (and excitedly), we are renovating our kitchen which is not yet finished. We will keep you posted but please know that we are planning away in the background and are very excited to restart! Lots of love, The Mainly Music Team

01.01.2022 Dear mainly music Bassendean, I know we’ve been fairly quiet here on Facebook, however there has been much discussion and meetings taking place behind the scenes, about what’s happening next for mainly music. Although we are entering the Phase 3 of restrictions being relaxed, it would still be very difficult to maintain social distancing and disinfect all surfaces while running the session so the team have decided to wait until the next phase of restrictions being lifted befo...re recommending. We say this with a heavy heart as we miss everyone terribly but hope and pray that it won’t be long before we can meet again!
