Like this "5 Hats on My Head" activity - download the page and print it out in colour, then encourage your child to draw a picture of their face. 16.01.2022 We have a series of great thoughts to consider over this quarter. They come from a friend of mainly music, Richard Black, author of Centred. In his book, #Centr...ed, Richard states, (read the picture in this post!) As a result, however, we are not living our lives with freedom, empowerment, contentment, and joy; other factors are setting the agenda for how we feel and what we do. Other factors determine what we go after in life, how we engage with other people and what we say. This is big stuff. :) Let's let these comments sink in. 02.01.2022 Children develop the understanding of left and right, up and down, in and out through climbing, balancing, jumping, skipping and movement to music. Having skill...s such as #laterality and #directionality in a mainly play and mainly music session give a child the ability to create and recognise shapes. These skills also give children the ability to recognise the orientation of letters, which is essential for reading and writing. Woven throughout the sessions of both groups are lateralilty and directionality - experienced through different activities.
