25.01.2022 Social Petanque 4pm every Friday. Try it for free :) Social drinks in the clubrooms 5-7pm

24.01.2022 Despite a very chilly day, 24 determined Petanquers turned up for games in the morning followed by a beautiful lunch, all catered by the members. So much good French style food, starting with beautiful cheeses and pates with french bread, followed by Coq au vin, Tarragon chicken, Cassoulet, and various accompaniments, all finished off with Chocolate gateaux, Tarte citrone, and varous other sweet treats. Great effort everyone.

24.01.2022 Winners are grinners and Team Alan Yates from Mt Martha took home the bacon at the 2019 Autumn Classic at Main Ridge. Alans teamates John Osborne, Peter Beesley and John foster are pictured receiving their $800 check from proud sponsors Bendigo Bank. Alan, a former member at Main Ridge, was at home in the overcast conditions and slower than normal paced greens. As always a great day was had by all under the excellent stewardship of Lee Mellet. See you all next year.........................

19.01.2022 Incredible! Unbelievable! Unprecedented! Lil ol Main Ridge Bowls Club with barely 22 bowlers (on a good day) won their 2nd Grand Final in four days when they beat West Rosebud yesterday by 16 points to win the Division 3 title. Celebrations, coinciding with St Patricks Day, went on well into small hours. There was no one happier than Cesare Bonnacini (pictured centre) who at 96 years young continues to bowl as well as ever and inspire his team mates. Go Team!!!!

19.01.2022 An upset? A surprise? Perhaps, but Main Ridge wins another Grand Final, their 4th in 3 years. Congratulations on winning the inaugural MPBD Twilight Bowls League.

18.01.2022 What do you get when you cross a great cause with a great community? $57,000 thats what!!! With donations from local businesses, a lot of hard work and a very generous crowd on the day the Main Ridge Bowls and Petanque Club raised $57,000 for the Main Ridge CFA to purchase a Thermal Imaging Camera and to transport hay to Gippsland farmers ... A beautiful sunny Sunday proved to be the perfect backdrop for a wonderful community inspired fundraising day. Barefoot Bowls, Petanque, Vintage cars, Devonshire teas and of course the Dunking Chair brought out a crowd of over 500. Raffles, donations and auctions, together with an incredibly generous donation from Atlinta Energy pushed the money raised on the day to $50,000 with a little more trickling in the following days. A huge pat on the to everyone involved.

11.01.2022 A few celebratory drinks were the order of the day following our Grand final Victory today at Karingal. A terrific team effort together with our band of loyal supporters got us over the line against a valiant Mt Martha team by just 4 points. Celebrations however were a little muted as we prepare for a second Grand final in 4 days against Rosebud at Belveder on Saturday. Congratulations everybody.

08.01.2022 Main Ridge Bowls Club was founded in 1959. The Club has been operating for 60 years with Petanque joining 5 years ago. Our little club earned 2 bowls pennant grand final wins last year and one the previous year. A fantastic effort on both occasions against much larger clubs. We are looking forward to this next season and hopefully can repeat the success on the greens.

08.01.2022 Main Ridge was well represented at yesterdays 2 Bowl Triples at Rosebud Bowls Club. Three MR were teams registered including the eventual winners seen here receiving their winners cheque of $450. Concratulations to Jonathan OSullivan (Skip) Bill shearer and Keith Waters (Lead).

06.01.2022 Another successful Triples tournament held on Sunday at Main Ridge. 19 teams of 3 from clubs around Victioria participated. We fielded 4 teams, 2 of whom were new to competition. While we didnt win the comp, we had a great day and did OK, particularly one of our new teams who had a resounding win 13 points to 3, over a very experienced opposition. Nobody was more surprised than them. The overall winners were from Weird Entertainers Petanque Club who took out the main cash prize.
