19.01.2022 I have to admit one of the perks of running a candle company is seeing a beautiful vessel and turning it into a candle Candle making is a wonderful hobby (and job ) but it’s not for the faint-hearted. This one I used some old wood wicks to see how they would burn. I eye-balled the dimensions and it is terribly over wicked which means my melt pool has formed very quickly and black soot can be seen around the rim. This shouldn’t happen ever in well-made candles. This is something to keep in mind when you buy candles from the store. I will be keeping a very close eye on this as even though it smells beautiful (cinnamon apple ) over-wicked candles are a fire hazard and can cause your jar to explode. Happy candling everyone!
