23.01.2022 Posted by a friend in Victoria, but a message we need to get across to especially the younger generation. Don't take this virus lightly. At least we are lucky in SA but let's all stick to the rules and keep it that way. Top of the day to you faceys. Pictured Ashley Warners brother Ricky who is a Covid19 survivor in England and implores us Aussies to take this virus deadly serious. Struck down some months ago and as pictured hospitalised on a ventilator I spoke to Rick thi...s week and he gave me permission to tell his story if it reaches just one non believer. Rick is a survivor but has been left with considerable side effects including memory loss, multiple pulmonary embolisms and deep vein thrombosis which leave him vulnerable to heart attack or stroke. Thank you brother for sharing your story to reinforce the seriousness of this insidious virus so that us complacent Aussies dont drop the ball on this one. #StayHomeSaveLives #staypositiveandsafe

22.01.2022 The SA Police Commissioner has today announced the introduction of COVID Safe Marshals from 21 August. All congregations will need to appoint someone to this ro...le. It involves overseeing and ensuring compliance to the physical distancing, hygiene and density requirements at the church. An online information and training package is being prepared by the government to explain this in further detail. More information will be shared as it comes to hand. For now, please think about who might be the appropriate person in your church for the role of COVID Safe Marshal.

21.01.2022 Most of us are migrants because our ancestors came here, but this week we need to focus on those many people who have contributed so much from having so little. Let's all continue to contribute to the welfare of others.

21.01.2022 It was wonderful yesterday to be able to share in worship with our Church friends. Worship at home has been great but even better sharing in our building together. 20.01.2022 Used in Church yesterday for the Blessing and I thought it was beautiful, so wanted to share

20.01.2022 This is why we listened to the Govt. warnings. At least for now we can go back to doing things we love. Well done South Aussies for taking it all so seriously as we should. BUT dont ignore future warnings if there are any because of doubt. We need to trust.

19.01.2022 Just phone a friend if feeling tense. Be positive. At least SA reacted quickly in the hope it will only be 6 days, or maybe a little longer. Stay positive, stay healthy, love it that we are here to enjoy the day.

18.01.2022 Thankyou Roger for sharing

16.01.2022 I love this ! Me: Okay, God, here's the thing. I'm scared. I'm trying not to be, but I am. God: I know. Want to talk about it?... Me: Do we need to? I mean, you already know. God: Let's talk about it anyway... We've done this before. Me: I know, I just feel like I should be bigger or stronger or something by now. God: *waiting patiently, unhurried, undistracted, never annoyed. Me: Okay. So, I'm afraid I'll do everything I can to protect my family and it won't be enough. I'm afraid of someone I love dying. I'm afraid the world won't go back to what it was before. I'm afraid my life is always going to feel this unsettled. God: Anything else? Me: EVERYTHING ELSE. God: Remember how your daughter woke up the other night and came running down the hall to your bedroom? Me: Yes. God: You were still awake, so when you heard her running, you started calling out to her before she even got to you... remember? Do you remember what you called out to her? Me: I said, "You're okay! You're okay! You're okay! I'm here." God: Why did you call out to her? Why didn't you just wait for her to get to your room? Me: Because I wanted her to know that I was awake, and I heard her, and she didn't have to be afraid until she reached the end of the dark hallway. God: Exactly. I hear you, my child. I hear your thoughts racing like feet down the dark hallway. There's another side to all of this. I'm there already. I've seen the end of it. And I want you to know right here as you walk through it all, you're okay. I haven't gone to sleep, and I won't. Me: *crying. Can we sit together awhile? Can we just sit here a minute before I go back to facing it all? God: There's nothing I'd love more. by: Becky Thompson

06.01.2022 Today, September 6th is the beginning of National Child Protection Week. This week is dedicated to raise awareness of child abuse prevention and to raise the pr...ofile of all issues connected with children protection. Rev Phillip Gardner, (Executive Officer, Placements & Safechurch) reminds us that Jesus places a high priority on protecting the vulnerable in our communities (Matthew 18). He also encourages us to pause and commit afresh to being communities where vulnerable people feel safe. Why not get involved in Child Protection week by visiting https://www.napcan.org.au/ for some ideas?
