19.01.2022 We will be running the Bunnings BBQ fundraiser this season on Saturday the 11th of January. If any adults could come and help for a little while it will be much appreciated as it relieves a little pressure from the same few club members and committee members that run this every season. If you can help there is a sheet outside the club room you can put your name on to volunteer your assistance. Please come on down on the day to either help or buy a sandwich and/or drink and support our club.
18.01.2022 Don't forget the Family Fun Night at Rutherford McDonalds on Wednesday from 6:00 - 7:00. There more people that have dinner there the more funds that will be donated to the club.

10.01.2022 Got the minions making lolly bags for the Christmas Party after races on Friday night next week. Don't forget it is on. There will also be a sausage sizzle for swimmers and their family, chips and ice block for all the kids.
09.01.2022 Swimming is back, and we are COVID-SAFE... with training commencing on Monday 2nd November and racing commencing Friday 6th November. Please see this newsletter for the club requirements around COVID-19 for the upcoming season.
08.01.2022 The Baths Dash and Relay events will commence on Friday the 8th November this season. The Baths Dash entry will be a little different this season. It will not be an enter on the night event anymore. If you want to be entered, put your name and entry time on the Baths Dash sheet that is on the notice board outside the club room. You only need to do this once. If you want to change your time, change it on the sheet and the race will have everyone on the sheet entered whether y...ou are going to be there or not with the latest time on the sheet. If you want to stop swimming the baths dash completely, cross out your name and initial it. If you have or want to form a relay team there are also forms on the notice board that you can fill out and give to a committee member with the details. Otherwise message the club with the Team Name and the names of the swimmers in the team. Entry for relay is the same as all the normal grade races each week. If you are interested in being in a relay team but don't know someone organising one then ask a committee member and we can possibly find others interested in forming a team. Relay teams consist of between 4 and 8 members with 4 members swimming on any single race night.
08.01.2022 Dear Members, this Friday night will be the last night of the season. After talking to Swimming NSW and our committee members, we will have our last two championship nights run back to back this Friday 20th March. We will not be holding the BBQ or end of season activities. Please follow the extra hygiene activities that have been advised prior, during and after attending. The club completely understands and respects any decisions our members make in relation to attending the last night. Thanks to all for their patronage, help and support over the season. The club will be back next season and look forward to having our current members plus more.
06.01.2022 To all our member from last season and any interested new members for the coming season, Firstly, the Committee hopes this post finds everyone well and coping with the current times. Recently several Committee members met with Maitland Council representatives. The Council outlined what the requirements will be for carrying out training and competition night with the current Covid situation. In light of these requirements and with registration time upon us, the Committee would... like all previous members to indicate interest in the upcoming season. Please either reply to the email sent out to all previous members, comment under this post or message the club with YES (interested) or UNDECIDED. These replies are not binding and the Committee respects members rights to reply or not. In regards to fees: Swimming NSW has indicated they will not issue refunds for registrations if the season is interrupted. Maitland Council will not issue refunds for season tickets if the season is interrupted. The Active Kids voucher is available for 2020. Regards Maitland Swimming Club
06.01.2022 Reminder that Maitland Swimming Club's AGM is on this coming Monday night (27th May) at Maitland Park Bowling Club commencing at 7:30pm. Please come along and have your say in the operation of the club.
05.01.2022 There have been a couple of queries already from members regarding purchasing membership products on Swim Central. The problem has been that membership purchasing was due to open up on Monday morning. We have now brought this forward and it has now been opened up for memberships immediately so it is good to go. The process for using an Active Kids Voucher has been made much simpler this year. Get you voucher number through Service NSW first and then the voucher number is add...ed to the product when in the shopping cart on Swim Central (there is a link under the product which will popup a window for adding the voucher). The value of the voucher is then automatically removed form the total cost. There is no need to upload an image of the voucher. Returning members may already have the products they need in the shopping cart when you login. If not the product can be found by using the "Store" link and the "Memberships" link. New members will have to do this. MAKE SURE THAT THE PRODUCT YOU SELECT IS FOR THE CORRECT CLUB (Maitland SC Inc). It is very problematic to change a membership from the wrong club later. Any problems, message or email the club and we will be in touch to help you with it. We welcome all new and returning members to this season of swimming.
04.01.2022 Reminder that Friday Night Races starts back up this evening so we will see you all there. If anyone has not completed their membership yet or did not put their name down for the races tonight, come along anyway and we can sort it out so you can still have a swim.
