13.01.2022 We are so incredibly grateful to Jane Craig and her amazing Dad Jon Wilkinson for their support of MLYS. They cycled 400kms from Dubbo (where Shell was born) and finished in Morpeth on what would have been her 50th Birthday. An amazing effort from these two champions. 11.01.2022 On 19 September 2019 the life of Maitland's Michelle Cockbain was tragically cut short by breast cancer. Michelle was a devoted wife to her 'Bloss', Andrew Coc...kbain; mother to their children Sophie, Lauren, Erin and Angus; matriarch of Maitland Rugby Club's Lady Blacks; and sponsor and staunch supporter of Hunter Valley Grammar School Official's rowers. I had the opportunity this week to recognise Michelle's legacy and Maitland Loves Your Sister in the Parliament of NSW through a Community Recognition Statement. I would also like to acknowledge Michelle's committed fundraising team members who work on in her memory: Ainslie Turner, Sophie Cockbain, Di Abrams, Marian Green, Tracey Clouten, Jade Gallaway, Lindsey Lewer and Abby Crawford. My thoughts are with Michelle's family and many friends on this sad anniversary.
09.01.2022 We are incredibly grateful to two of our villagers Jane Craig and her Dad Jon Wilkinson, who will be undertaking a 360km bike ride in August. Their ride will be in honour of Michelle Cockbain who was born and raised in Dubbo and became a loved member of the Morpeth community.
