13.01.2022 NSW Health issued a public alert for the Northern Beaches LGA which is currently experiencing a Covid-19 outbreak. There are further hotspots reported across Greater Metropolitan Sydney. Healthe Care Hospitals have reinstated Amber Alert protocols as a precautionary measure. These protocols have helped keep us safe and well and have been reinstated to minimise the risk of Covid-19 transmission. As a result, the following changes now apply to all NSW Healthe Care Hospitals:... All visitors and staff to wear masks at all times whilst in the hospital Visitors should supply their own masks, if possible Patients to wear masks when in public areas of the hospital Visitors restricted to two nominated visitors per patient per day (subject to palliative care or other needs approved by the NUM/DCS) No patients or visitors who reside in Greater Metropolitan Sydney postcodes (or who have been to hotspots) will be admitted or allowed on site except in the case of an emergency or where surgery cannot be delayed. Mask wearing is mandatory in all clinical areas and where social distancing cannot be maintained. Admission to the site remains subject to QR code access or manual recording of details. Children under 16 are encouraged not to visit No volunteers, company representatives (unless required for surgical support or stock level control), or retail visitors are allowed on site. Return to 4 square metre rule Patient day leave to be suspended. Review 23 December 2020. Community Care staff to wear a mask for all home visits. Community care patients encouraged to wear a mask during the home visit unless the patient cannot tolerate same. We will continue to closely monitor this evolving situation and follow guidance issued by NSW Health and amend these measures as necessary.
