20.01.2022 5/6D have had an interesting day, learning about introduced species and their impact on our native animals. They studied and identified their scats so they can be biosecurity warriors and they have the bandannas to prove it. Many thanks to Jane Lloyd-Jones from Hunter Local Land Services for bringing in her resources including a fox and cane toad! We also experimented with light boxes on loan from MGHS. We will be measuring light refraction angles and maybe making shadow puppets as we learn more.

20.01.2022 Congratulations to our 2021 School Leaders.

19.01.2022 Year 6 had a fabulous night for their farewell.. lucky for them, dancing was allowed. Thank you all for being wonderful leaders this year. Good luck on your next adventure of high school.

13.01.2022 To the residents of Central Maitland who may or may not have been woken last night at 3:09am by the dulcet tones of Fred Flintstone screaming "YABBA DABBA DOO", we do apologise. Our bell setter is joining a Year 2 class this morning to rediscover the difference between "a.m." and "p.m." This will probably not happen again. Hopefully. Sorry!

13.01.2022 Our Year 5 and 6 band students enjoyed their first day of BandLink in Singleton today, joining with 4 other schools to create some brilliant music. They enjoyed the opportunity to be part of a 70-piece band and also had the chance to do some smaller workshop groups in the beautiful sunshine at King St Public School. All of the students were an absolute credit to their school and families - they were organised, respectful and made the most of this wonderful opportunity. We can’t wait to see what they produce tomorrow.
