23.01.2022 RAMS 2nd Grade have a huge final at home on Sunday against Souths at 9am. With spectators now allowed (following COVID-19 precautions) it would be great to see you there! Also, a big congratulations to our 4th and 6th Grade teams for a fantastic season

22.01.2022 To all Players and Officials Seniors Mens matches will recommence as per the draw this week. PHL and 2nd grade have games scheduled for this Thursday night.... NB. All St Pius and SFX students under 14-day isolation are not permitted to play or attend the Centre. We wish to also advise as per NIHC COVID plan, there will be NO spectators allowed into the centre, Players and officials only. We will continue to monitor the current situation in our area and liase with Hockey NSW and relevant government agencies and we will advise of any updates or changes.

22.01.2022 With very heavy hearts we remember former Junior Rams player, Johannes Basedow. 28-7-2005 ~ 28-9-2020 Prior to a devastating Cancer diagnosis in December 2018, Johey played two seasons with the Under 13s team for the Maitland Rams. This was in addition to playing in the Maitland Hockey Association Junior Competition with his younger sister Isabella. ... Johey was a committed club member who brought much joy and fun to Maitland Hockey. He is remembered as a kind, caring, generous and committed player with exemplary sportsmanship. From a young age Johey showed great community spirit and commitment to our Junior Hockey community. He displayed his love of the sport with his willingness to assist with coaching the Under 6s. Our thoughts and prayers are with Johey’s younger sister Issy, his mum Emma and his dad, fellow Rams player, Scott. Rest now Johey and be at peace, knowing your spirit will continue to make our world a better place. Johey’s Funeral Service is tomorrow, Friday 9th October, 10.30am. 17.01.2022 A massive congratulations to our Rams Josh Magann, Tom Forbes and Ryan Simpson for being selected in the 2021 NSW Under 21 Squad. Another congratulations also goes to Lachlan Lidbury who was selected in the Under 18 AAP Squad. Keep up the good work legends

15.01.2022 After a long absence from the Newcastle Girls Junior Hockey Competition, the Maitland RAMs are calling for expressions of interest to play in a B grade team (Under 15s). We are looking to cater for players who are now too old to play in the Maitland Under 13s competition and are looking for full field experience. Games will be on Friday night at The Newcastle Hockey Centre with training to be a week night at the Maitland Hockey Field. If interested please email [email protected] or PM. Depending on numbers, age and player’s experience this may change. We are looking forward to expanding the RAMS Club to include the girls team for the upcoming hockey season. Please feel free to share with friends and help get the word around.
