25.01.2022 Today is R U OK? Day. R U OK? is a not for profit organisation founded in 2009 with a vision of a world where we are all connected and are protected from suicide, as well as encouraging and equipping everyone to regularly and meaningfully ask are you ok?. At Story House Early Learning, we continue to work with our services to focus on promoting and supporting kindness, mental health and wellbeing for everyone within our Story House Family and beyond so please take the opportunity to check in with and look after someone. If you have a nagging feeling that someone you know or care about isnt behaving as they normally would, trust your instinct and act on it. #ruok #mentalhealth #beyondblue

20.01.2022 SCIENCE WEEK IS HERE The Preschool children have been enjoying hands on learning in their new space. What started as the childrens interest of drawing rainbows quickly turned into colour exploration, investigating primary and secondary colours. A range of experiences have been developed through the childrens natural curiosity of colour. A lovely group discussion with the children demonstrated a desire to take their learning further and begin to explore Science.... To support the children in their learning, our wonderful Preschool educators have spent the week researching different Science experiments to engage in with the children. Get ready Preschool friends, next week we are having a Science week filled with all the amazing experiments you have researched through the week. Watch this space to see our little Einsteins in action.

05.01.2022 This week we look to place the spotlight on National Child Protection Week, with the theme. "Putting children first". NAPCAN - Play Your Part invite all Australians to look at how they can prioritise children in their lives and communities and to engage in National Child Protection Week as individuals, and as part of families, organisations, communities and society. Putting children first means prioritising the safety and wellbeing of children. To grow up well children need to feel safe and loved, have a chance to play and explore, have a say in decisions that affect them, and access to essential things like food, shelter and healthcare. #childrights #childprotection
