18.01.2022 HAPPY SPRING! | Ring in the new season (literally) by testing your smoke alarm is working! The first day of a new season is the perfect reminder to test your s...moke alarms and give them a vacuum! Working smoke alarms help save lives and the risk of a fatality in a home fire is halved if there is a working smoke alarm in a residential dwelling.

14.01.2022 CSIRO test burning currently underway west of Braidwood demonstrates how quickly grass fires can move. Grass across the region is rapidly drying out. Are you prepared? http://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/plan-and-prepare

06.01.2022 Fact: Only 6.9% of NSW was impacted by bush fire in the 2019/20 fire season. This means there is a significant bush fire risk for the coming 2020/21 fire season.... It only takes 5 minutes to improve or make a plan that will give your property, your family and yourself the best chance of survival. Get ready now at myfireplan.com.au #getreadyweekend See more

03.01.2022 Hi all. We are coming to the end of the Bushfire Danger Period Permits to burn are not required from 1st April. ... From that date, you need to notify your neighbours and Queanbeyan Fire Control Centre on 61280600. Please make these notifications, we don't want to turn up if you have it under control, plus it’s just the right thing to do.

02.01.2022 Not only did we welcome our new members at yesterday’s breakfast but we also awarded our Captain Richard Elliot his life time membership, Richard’s dedication to the RFS though multiple brigades, training and mentoring and more recently through the 2019/2020 bushfires, was the catalyst for his nomination. A well deserved award to an outstanding community minded individual
