17.01.2022 My primary goal as a PT and coach is not to help my clients reach challenging athletic performance goals, or to get lean and shredded Whaaatt??!! Yep it’s true, some clients fall into this group but mostly I work with people who are not striving for perfect, enviable bodies. They are not striving for perfection, but for fitness. They work out to be healthier - to manage their stress, to lose weight, and to add muscle. They work out to be vital and to counteract th...e effects of aging or chronic health conditions. And ideally, they want to have fun while they do it! So, as I see it ... one of my primary goals is to help my clients get excited to work out and then love every single workout. I want my clients to start really appreciating their bodies for what they can DO right now. It’s never too late to embrace your body and enrich your life with exercise and nourishing food, and I’d love to help you make fitness a part of your life when you are ready #makcoaching #strength #nourishment
16.01.2022 First session of proper training after re-injuring my back 8 weeks ago definitely calls for a photo and a filter . To be honest, I was a little nervous and pretty apprehensive about training again. Not being able to walk without huge amounts of pain was scary as shit. So I understand that fear of pain can be a big driver of why we might choose not to exercise or move purposefully. But there is always something you CAN do, and in the long run, movement is what our body needs to stay healthy. Hope you had a beautiful Sunday
10.01.2022 Just to be clear ... I’m a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach - but I’m also a human being who doesn’t want to exist on broccoli, chicken and brown rice I do eat cake and I do skip workouts. No, I don’t drink (not because I’m some bloody goody goody two-shoes, but because I think it tastes yuk) and anyone who knows me, knows I love a Diet Coke. ... I absolutely could be leaner, and I know exactly what to do if that was my goal. But I’ve decided to live a life of balance which means a little more body fat, but a whole lot more emotional stability. And for me, that’s WAY more important. #makcoaching #strength #nourishment #balance
