22.01.2022 Our friend and respected crypto-teacher Ash Roulston is running a 3 day bootcamp on Facebook to help people get up to speed on Bitcoin/crypto fast. It's focused on teaching the basics of the industry to anyone who wants to learn. The link to the temporary group is here: [https://www.facebook.com/groups/cryppickpopup/](https://www.facebook.com/groups/cryppickpopup/) ... If you know of anyone who needs an introductory course, or just wants to get back up to speed now that prices are picking up again, feel free to send them the information on this free course.

22.01.2022 How to secure your digital life in 2019: I faced a lot of hacking attempts during 2018, which made me ultra sensitive to digital security. Here are some tips a...nd tricks how to do it yourself. 1. Encrypt your computer's hard drive. This can be done with Disk Utility on Macs, and with Bitlocker on Windows PCs. Use a 20-letter password. If you have a fingerprint scanner or hardware key, use that. 2. Purchase a hardware security key like Yubikey. If you trade cryptocurrencies, purchase a hardware wallet like Trezor or Ledger Nano S. 3. Use a Password manager like LastPass, Dashlane or 1Password. Create a unique 20-letter (or longer) password to every website you visit. If you do not wish to share your life with Facebook or Google, don't use their logins, but rather create individual logins to every service. Password managers make it actually pretty easy to handle. 4. Use 2-factor authentication everywhere where you can. Do not use SMS-based 2FA, but rather an authenticator app like Google Authenticator, Authy or a hardware key like Yubikey. Advanced privacy & security tricks - don't do if you are not good with computers: 5. If you want to end unwanted tracking of your life, block all cookies by default, and only manually add cookie allowances to the sites you use frequently. This requires a lot of work early on to unblock all the sites you want, but it guarantees no ad tracker will ever be able to track you. I have personally configured Chrome like this, and use Firefox with "forget all cookies after tab is closed" setting to access less frequently visited sites that don't show content without cookies. 6. Install a minimum amount of mobile apps for the services you use the most. They capture a lot of data about you. Visit the app settings page to review what permissions the apps have. Even more advanced tips from expert Joni Saarela / Nixu: 7. Use Wi-Fi at home and mobile connection on the move whenever it is possible. Only use private Wi-Fis in public that don't share their password widely (like cafeterias and restaurants do). Turn off Wi-Fi and bluetooth whenever they are not needed, they act as attack vectors. 8. In addition to encrypting disc, set a password to BIOS and consider creating a user account in addition to default admin account that most seem to use. 9. Use VPN. 10. Firefox docker plugin prevents information being shared between various tabs open in your browser. Alternatively use actively incognito mode. 11. Be careful on malicious / phishing emails. Especially O365 phishing attempts. By default, do not open attachments if you are not waiting such from the sender. In case an email is requesting for immediate action, verify the authenticity by calling to the company or person you received the mail from. Use Google to acquire the number, don't use phone numbers provided in the email.

The reporter Rico Hizon of BBC asked how we automate the purchase process, why Chin...ese invest more in foreign real estate.
