19.01.2022 Meanwhile back at Make.do.race HQ, we figured out why the YZ wasn't zinging. A few video calls for assistance and some persistence on our end, the YZ is ready to race!

13.01.2022 Made it to Queensland... No looking back now!!

10.01.2022 Progress Yesterday was halted while Brian looked into the ticking issue on the Himalayan. We came into Brisbane and knew the problem was getting bad. Fortunately a friend's brother, Phil, lives in Brisbane and offered up a shed to work on the bikes and within minutes of arrival Brian had the rocker assembly off to find a collapsed roller rocker bearing. Effectively stuck in Brisbane sourcing parts, Phil and his lovely wife Ana put us up and loaned their car to go hunting fo...r parts. First thing in the morning we headed to a Royal Enfield dealer to find the replacement part was going to be 3 months away. By chance driving round the block we came across Peter at @musters machining solutions. He machined up a replacement inner bearing race that in all honesty is probably better than the factory item. I could not recommend him more. Brian had a it back together that night and reckons it's only making the normal Royal Enfield noises now Today has been one of our biggest yet at 600km and we have made up a bit of time. Also the ttr is now the point of concern having stripped a sprocket nut and is making its own Himalayan ticking impression Tomorrow we head to Rockhampton in search of ttr parts.

09.01.2022 Yesterday was a pretty straight forward day. We came into Coffs Harbour and caught up on Laundry, had a nice sit down meal at Mr Deng's Chinese and this morning Brian had his first ever up and go for breakfast. The Himalayan is sounding like a ticking time bomb though. We're hoping to get to Brisbane tonight to figure out what is wrong with it.

05.01.2022 Coming into Cessnock the ttr foot peg bolt snapped suddenly coming into a corner , and i had a bit of a scare, but pulled the bike up ok. Fortunately the clutch cable held up as well and by hanging a boot in the air till we made it to a friends' place for repairs in Maitland. The legendary Chris had all the tools and helped getting it fixed in moments. He comforted us that the ever louder ticking/knocking in the Himalayan's motor isnt worth worrying about. Hailey even knocked up a great meal and put us up in the lounge for the night. Thanks heaps guys, was good to see you again. I look forward to seeing you again down in Melbourne for Wildwood later this year! Now we are bound for coffs harbour on the black top to catch up on Laundry tonight. We should clock up some kms today.
