11.01.2022 There is no denying the fact that COVID is having a widespread impact on many individuals, businesses, community groups and charities. Make a Difference relies heavily on fundraising events to keep our mobile food service for people experiencing homelessness running. We have signed up with the Australian Communities Foundation to assist M.A.D in sourcing donations to help us finish our... Mobile M.A.D Food van project. Please help us by sharing this post. Hopefully we can finish this project and have the M.A.D Food van operating to its full capacity. Any donation is greatly appreciated and can be either monetary or in-kind (6.5KVA Generator, staineless steel sheets, Batteries, inverter, solar panels). If you can help please make contact by messaging us or emailing us at [email protected]. 09.01.2022 Today marks the end of Homelessness week across our awesome country. This video came up in the Make a Difference - M.A.D news feed from our past MAD Jazz at Bago event and reminded me how awesome our local community is. We often wonder how we can help with issues such as homelessness - what is a very complex problem facing our society with 116,000 people homeless on any given night in Australia. Do yourself a favour and watch this short video on Katie from St Columba for some inspiration. Katie demonstrates wisdom beyond her years and we hope is still striving to do amazing things within our community for people who are experience difficulty.
