24.01.2022 MAKEHAMS COACHES SCHOOL RUNS UPDATE Following is a statement released by Transport NSW in regard to social distancing on the school runs. Although no physical distancing resitriction apply to the school services at this stage, we ask that all parents/guardians encourge students to keep good personal hygiene and to respect the personal boundries of all other students travelling on the school services.... Please contact our office if you have any questions ----------------------------------------------------------------- COVID Safe Travel Plan. Supporting students returning to school (Issued by Transport for NSW) Transport for NSW is working closely with the Department of Education and the education sector and is playing a vital role in supporting students getting back to school. The NSW Government’s policy is to not leave a school student behind. There are currently no physical distancing restrictions on dedicated school services. School students will be given priority over other customers on general services, even if this means a service goes over physical distancing capacity. Adults may have to wait for the next service or may choose to get off if not comfortable with how many customers are on a service. Parents and carers should make travel choices which suit their individual circumstances, including driving, walking and cycling. Transport for NSW is here to support our customers with real time information provided through apps, social media and the Transport Info website in order to see which services have space available. Transport for NSW continues to ramp-up cleaning across the network with a daily focus on high-touch areas like handrails and Opal readers. Students are reminded to tap on and tap off using their Opal cards on Opal enabled services. Everyone must remember they have a role to play in making the public transport network as safe as possible. 21.01.2022 CORONA VIRUS (Covid19) UPDATE SCHOOL RUNS: The Ministry of Transport NSW have advised us to run our school buses as per usual. We are taking all precautionary procedures to ensure the safety of the students who continue to utilise the school runs. We encourage parents to make all students aware that social distancing is still highly recommended whilst travelling on the school buses and that all students should maintain good personal hygiene to help stop the spread of COVID1...9. Please do not hesitate in contacting us if you have any question. 14.01.2022 CORONA VIRUS (Covid19) UPDATE To all our valued customers and travelers! We have received a lot of phone calls over the past few days asking how we are dealing with the crisis and how it has affected our tours! Unfortunately, old Corona herself hasn’t been too kind to us and we have been forced to cancel some of our tours and show trips that are happening over the next few weeks. We are trying our best to contact all our passengers on these particular tours and we ask that ...you bear with us while we do so! As for our tours from the end of April and beyond (with the exception of Vivid in May which has already been cancelled), we are playing it month by month. We would desperately love to continue supporting our local communities and not cancel our tours, but unfortunately the fate of our tours is out of our hands at this time. We are continually following the recommendations by Transport for NSW, the Australian Government and World Heath Organisations to ensure safety of all our staff and passengers. And by doing so, we ask that if anyone in unwell or has been in contact with anyone that may be affected by the virus to stay away from our depot and off the school runs at this time. 08.01.2022 As of the 1-6-2020, all of our school bus services have been fitted with seat belts. We ask that all parents with children utilising these services to always enforce the importance of wearing seat belts at all times. If caught not wearing seat belts, student parents/guardians can be held responsible.
