25.01.2022 Unfortunately some of the installations out there are a bit below par. They are just after a quick job to get their dollars and the client is left with the mess. This one had lack of thought with outdoor dripping water in reverse cycle(heating) and water creating a slip hazard. It will be lifted into brackets and drain will be taken away to a safer drain point. would have taken the original installer an extra 1/2 hr but know it’s a bigger task Always do your research, just because they are cheaper doesn’t mean you are getting a quality job.
25.01.2022 Saturday off turned out to be a full day on the tools fixing aircon units. First job had to cut a security door off with the angle grinder to access the outdoor unit because someone decided to take the keys home and then go on their honey moon Love this time of yearSaturday off turned out to be a full day on the tools fixing aircon units. 24.01.2022 Another apartment job with two faulty ac systems removed and replaced with quality Daikin systems. Always a challenging experience but with help from Kain Kennedy and Chad Hargreaves the problems were resolved. Thanks boys
23.01.2022 Giving my Fire Brigades AC systems a good clean as it’s been neglected from install. Got to look after my fellow fire fighters and keep the air we breath nice and clean.
23.01.2022 Surrounded by rain clouds and pulling units apart Between showers, Panels off panels on panels off panels on
23.01.2022 Interesting day today working on a racing truck/trailer for a great client. He has another trailer which needed ac installed to replace existing systems to keep the crew cool. The best part was seeing Toby Price show up to buy the other trailer I had done work on last year and had a great chat after he had his surgery to repair damage to collar bone after the Dakar rally last month. What a bloody legend
23.01.2022 New install into a little champions room struggling with the temp change with winter coming on. It’s always nice to provide a better climate to clients. Puts a little smile on my face every time.
22.01.2022 A bit of a challenge provided by a client. Exposed ductwork through a new office. Main transitions done and through walls. Only a few more lengths to connect next week and then install grills to blow out. Love these challenges, it’s a good test on the skills I’ve collected through the years of airconditioning. Great to see the design come to fruition.
21.01.2022 When you think saving 300$ on a quote gives you this as a result. A person without qualification having a go to save money and the end result is a mess that costs more in the long run. It may not be the cheapest quote but just remember what you may end up with in the long run. Unit had no gas in it and the install was pretty sad to see
20.01.2022 GHOSTING: The process of bringing dead airconditioning back to life At least that’s what it looks like. The rain is defiantly needed in most parts of AUSTRALIA but I can say right now I’m fairly over fixing air conditioners in the rain. This one was a full pcb assembly on outdoor plus two fan motors, sitting under a drop sheet whilst it hammered down on a two story building. Normally would say no but they have been waiting for a month with no AC and this time if year doesn’t leave much free time to wait till it’s fine weather.
20.01.2022 Another reason why you should get a proper fridgy to do your work. Unqualified persons opening valves and contaminated gas in whole system before performing a proper evacuation. Also the electrician had two heads to wire up and managed to get them wrong Made for a fun morning though working on a truck carrying a racing car and getting ready for racing around Australia. Something different to the normal days to day experience.
17.01.2022 A couple of little buggers playing where they shouldn’t. Thankfully We removed them and cleaned up the boards, before retesting and finding operation ok. Normally they blow the board assembly and it ain’t cheap
17.01.2022 Great way to end the day Bruce Highway 3 lanes dead at 8:45pm. Hopefully people involved are ok
17.01.2022 Really bad smell coming from indoor unit. I really struggled with the smell myself. Blocked drain after a couple of years of solid use. Gave indoor coil a chemical clean and cleared the drain run before cleaning drain pan of mould build up. I know these units sit on your wall and people rarely think about it but you really need to maintain the units to reduce these problems.
16.01.2022 Bit of a mission today to finish off ac after renovation has finished on house. Very thankful to have KBAir on board to help with the tricky penetration above the window and through the existing ducted pipe cover from previous reinstall. Not a simple solution but very happy with end results considering the challenge provided to us.
15.01.2022 As some would say who did it best. Cafe Gather and Feast we have ripped out a below par install and installed some quality units to improve comfort of cafe patrons. Creating a better climate inside and fixing up some average points of original install. Rain wasn’t helping but we pushed through. Enjoy peoples Thanks Kain Kennedy for your skills and persistence in the weather mate Also thanks Richard for an awesome lunch
13.01.2022 We are a little bit excited as tomorrow’s day consists of getting a canopy put on the work truck. Tray doesn’t meet the needs anymore and need to set the ute up with a weather proof canopy to provide better tool setup and functionality. Thanks to Kain Kennedy for giving us a hand this afternoon to lift the tray off, you are a legend.
12.01.2022 It’s not very often in my life but every now and then I wish I wasn’t 6ft 3inchs! When you get a small roof like this to play in and solve problems hight is not on your side
12.01.2022 Good day to start my RFS training. Looking forward to being more involved in the community.
09.01.2022 This is one reason why you get a qualified refrigeration mechanic (Cert3 qualified) to do your install. Carried out by one of our fellow refrigeration/aircon companies that we know (They are absolute quality when it comes to these types of installs and even make us sit back in amazement. Won’t drop their name until they say I can) When clients want the condenser up high and out of the road for access down side of the building, There are minimum pipe lengths on most systems s...o this option is a bloody good way to achieve it and looks great. We have seen a lot of below average options to achieve this in the past by other companies. A lot of the electrical companies out there are not capable of this quality install as they have done a very basic installers course to allow them to carry out installs through summer time to make a quick dollar. Moral of this post is do your research and actually ask for a Cert3 qualified refrigeration mechanic. See more
07.01.2022 AC systems need to be serviced regularly. Had a roof collapse yesterday due to blocked drains and a blocked filter. Had to install serviceable section into main drain due to cheap install and fix the drain fall due to lack of supports. This job just needed some preventative maintenance organised and the situation could have been avoided. Commercial needs at least twice a year and residential depending on usage at least once a year. Just because we can’t see it doesn’t mean it needs to be left alone. BOOK IT IN!!!!!
06.01.2022 1 down 1 more to go
06.01.2022 Heading home finally Fixing Ac units in the dark with a head torch is always a great challenge
06.01.2022 Returned to this banger to get her lifted and away from ground. Fixed drain run so she actually drains away and sealed outdoor holes to get it draining away into main line also. So easy to do it first time around. I keep saying just because Electricians say they can install stay clear as they have no idea. They are just after a quick dollar at your expense
02.01.2022 Pretty good challenge provided by client and with a bit of thought behind options and some expert ideas from a talented individual we have succeeded in getting the desired cooling into the space before summer time hits. Enjoy the comfort patrons.
01.01.2022 Grills in and ready for outdoor connection next week. Crane lift involved and will hopefully reach unit skids otherwise it’s going to be a scull drag across roof
