23.01.2022 Make it Home Safely Inc. board members have decided to wind up the association. We would like to thank our volunteers, community stakeholders and young people who have helped us to raise the awareness of the long term impact of traumatic head injury and empower young people to create, communicate and implement safe driving practices. A big shout out to our mentors who provided 2,049 hours of supervised driving over 62,568 kms supporting disadvantaged young people to obtain their provisional licence. Let’s continue to make better choices to keep our friends and family safe on our roads.

19.01.2022 It was great to get together today to farewell Toni Dugdale, Community Relations and Communications Advisor for Caltex Lytton Oil Refinery. Toni has made a great contribution in our community over two decades. A big thank you to Joan Pease MP, Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd, Bartons Motor Group, Wynnum-Manly Mens Shed and Rosies - Friends On The Street for contributing towards the breakfast. We wish you well Toni and cant thank you enough.
18.01.2022 Kyra started the Make it Home 100 program a couple of months ago. After a number of professional lessons and supervised sessions in the auto she switched to manual Kyra made it to the main road on her first session and last week we were at Wellington Point. Look out Brisbane here we come!!

15.01.2022 After three years of supporting 78 young people with professional and supervised sessions in the car we have transitioned one of our Make it Home 100 vehicles to Hemmant Flexible Learning Centre to continue the program. Thank you Bartons Motor Group , Caltex Lytton Oil Refinery , Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd , Rotary Club of Wynnum and Manly , Ross Vasta MP, Joan Pease MP, Cr Peter Cumming , Tingal Graphics , calebloeken and our Make it Home Safely Inc board and mentors for backing us. We look forward to seeing more P platers driving safely on our roads.

12.01.2022 Fatality Free Friday aims for zero deaths on our roads for just one day. In 2019 there were 28 fewer deaths on our Queensland roads than the previous year! Hemmant Flexible Learning Centre staff and students, Caltex Lytton Oil Refinery, Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd, Ross Vasta MP, and Cr Peter Cumming - for Wynnum Manly Ward have taken the pledge to be safer on our roads. This Friday is Fatality Free Friday and the Australian Road Safety Foundation are calling on the community to take the pledge this week on their website & upload a photo of yourself which they will turn into a mosaic with 1,195 faces of everyday people - families of road trauma victims, first responders, doctors and trauma care providers, community safety advocates and supporters.
