07.01.2022 Can you tell which side I used primer and which side I didn’t? If you haven’t used primer before and wonder why you don’t have flawless eyeshadow or foundation it’s probably because you haven’t used a primer or base. This is especially important with eyeshadow because it can really show where the shadow isn’t blended. Whether it’s because you have textured skin or not, skin is tacky and firm. Meaning if you brush along your lid, the brush will get caught and cause jumps in yo...ur blending. When working with foundation, it’s important to note your skin type and what the foundation your using is offering ie. dewy, satin, matte, sheer. If you’re working with a dewy foundation and oily skin, chances are you will have streaks. Or if you’re working with matte foundation and dry skin you will have flakes. Though if you’re working with the right tools and primers, you can avoid that. But that’s for another topic! With foundation, you can end up flaky, dry, over oily, streaky, blotchy etc. but working with a primer first, will give you that flawless finish. BTW, the left side is unprimed! And you can really tell with my eyeshadow. The black fades out into my skin tone which is red, where on the right it fades out from the undertone of the black eyeshadow. Concealer is a perfect base to work with with a translucent or skin tone powder over the top. With foundation on the unprimed side, I didn’t really have any issues per se, but in a few hours it will most likely be more transferable than the right side. The main issue is with how foundation applies on unprimed skin. As I mentioned above.
