21.01.2022 Heres hoping . Most of you know how much the bush means to me and i would love to share some of the scenery, sights and adventures with people . How many of you have fought a barramundie to the boat with halfe a dozen croocodiles as interested spectators.

21.01.2022 It looks like the wet is starting . This is the best time to see the north ,creeks and rivers are running , you can just about hear the grass growing , every thing is super green and water falls are at their best . Come up and have a look around . I love taking folks around at the best time of the year so get in touch.

21.01.2022 New work shirts

21.01.2022 Face book has said that I haven't posted anything for the past couple of years . I beg to differ . It was only a month or ago that I put up a post about the drive up to Blenco falls . Thanks to Alysa I have had a web site rebuild and I am pleased to say that it was a fine job of work so folks have a dekko at my website and give me a ring as am ready and willing to take you through this amazing country side and I am sure you will love it as much as I do . Hoping to hear from you soon . Gus

19.01.2022 Writing this up mainly for the parched west aussies. We had 798 mils during march in twenty days of rain equates to 39.9 mill for the twenty days an average of 26.6 mils for the month of march. Creeks and rivers are running ,water falls roaring and the country is looking majic but i think that is all we will see of a wet season this year .So far this month 2.5 mils

17.01.2022 Spent the night at a watering hole of old . The Ashton hotel at Abergowrie . It is still the same as of old. Super friendly service , great beer and food ,the only difference being is that you can set up camp in your RV or in my case car topper tent .All for nothing and showers and toilet provided . Thank you Kathy for providing such a great service

15.01.2022 Yahoo its been raining for the past three days and doesnt look like stopping yet, creeks are roaring ,barra getting hungry ,water falls running and the country looks like it has had a bath with the green almost dazzling. Be one hell of a good time to come north and tag along with gus

10.01.2022 Going back to Queensland in June . Have three routes i can take . The first being across the nullabour round the Eyre peninsular through the riverland to the Murray river ,take a ride on a paddle steamer then on up along the Darling river to Bourke. from there to Cunamulla through the Carnarvon gorge and on in to Rockhampton. Avery scenic trip as well as little goodies like coffin bay oysters ,local or selfe caught king george whitingand perhaps even a trip to Kangaroo islan...d, a drop of wine in the Barossaand the beauty of the Darling river country. Second route is through Kalgoorlie to Laverton ,through Warburton to Uluru, have a look around Ayres rock and the Olgas then off to the Alice via Kings canyon. Spend a day or two at the Alice perhaps even take a trip to Palm valley .From the Alice we travel one thirty kilometers north then turn right along the Plenty highway to Boulia in queensland ,the home of the min-min light dont know if i want to bush camp round there in hopes of seeing it. from there to Winton ,boulder opal country also the start of the also the start of the area where heaps of dinasoar skeletons have been found , we will definately check out a museam or two round here and from here into Townsville ,my stamping grounds. Route three is probably the longest trip but also the most scenic and spectacular. UP the north west coastal highway to Derby then up the Gibb river road , if one feels that they would like to meet a genuine bushman we could call into mt Hart and share a rum and a yarn with Taffy as we travel the gibb a call into a lot of the gorges is a must for a swim but i am miles ahead of myself first off we would call into Windjana gorge and tunnel creek .Heaps of freshies at Windjana but like all crocs have sharp teeth, i wouldnt fancy swimming with them. Off the gibb road we can go to the admiralty gulf or on to Kalumbaru. We come back down the gibb across the Durack river ,Pentocst river ,both renown for their barra fishing ,and on into Wyndam and Kunurra . This is only the start of this trip to Queensland . We have the Roper river country Limmen bite ,Bourktown Normanton,Karumba and other towns in the gulf country to see If you are interested ,give me a ring and leave a message as i am currently in an area where mobile coverage is touchy but i will get back to you or email me . I am realy interested in showing you some of the country that i have lived in and love. Happy traveling . Gus See more

10.01.2022 had a great trip from Perth to Forrest beach in north Queensland. Did a bit of fishing and site seeing at Bremmer bay, sight seeing at Esperance , a look at the whales off the coast on the nullarbor. The ayre peninsular was as usual beautiful, the country all green and wheat seeding going full bore, up through the Flinders ranges ,Broken Hill, Bourke, Cunamullar, Charleville, got lost at Augathella, through Springshore, Emerald Charters Towers, Townsville and finaly Ingham and Forrest Beach. Nine days on the road and enjoyed it all.

06.01.2022 As i have said often before ,the most rewarding thing about this business is the people one meets . This the Lane family who i took to Blencoe falls. Lovely people real interested in the country and its scenery and a lot of fun to be with . The photo is taken with the Herbert river gorge in the background. They even forgave me for freezing the salad. Looking forward to meeting you again and carrying you all to a different destination . I really enjoyed your company

05.01.2022 Last sunday i was lucky enough to take Christian, Mary and Marly Vinicombe on a trip to the wallaman falls and from there on to the Broadwater . Mary took a series of beautiful photos and wrote a very flattering text with them . Thank you Mary for showing the public some of what there is to be seen in this fantastic Hinchinbrook area. If you happen to be in north Queensland ,be sure to call in and see me , share a cup of tea or something slightly more potent and perhaps do a trip with me in this beautiful area. The photos and text are on my time line if you wish to have a look. The reason they are not on this page is because i am too bloody thick to work out how to get it on this page. YOUALLHAVEFUNNOW. Gus

04.01.2022 The wet is getting close to winding down so if you are looking forward to traveling round the northern climes ,be it in the Kimberlies , top end of the territory ,catching a barra or two or driving to the very top of Australia via the gulf country and cape York . Give me a ring on 0427665576 or email me at "[email protected]" . hope to hear from you soon. Gus

04.01.2022 A drive up through rainforest and mountains to the Herbert gorge and Blenco falls. In my humble opinion , the most spectacular rain forest drive in Australia
