25.01.2022 For my essential workers that cannot make it to my two other class times due to work commitments, If I added 7pm online classes Monday, Wednesday & Friday would that help anybody that is wanting to have some stress release and improve their fitness?

17.01.2022 Hello!! Time for an intro on who's the person behind MAK Fitness & Personal Training. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Melissa Kahler, I own and run a fitness business which specialises in small group fitness classes. I love living an active lifestyle whether it be walking, running, training, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding and playing with my children, I thrive on being active. Motivating people to be the best versions of themselves is what makes me the happ...iest. You may have seen me around Goombungee School or Kindy over the years, as I have three children who keep me very busy. I know what its like first hand to raise children and put your health and fitness last and feel like youve lost that self identity and time for yourself (am I right, its hard!). My passion lies within helping women of all ages discover or rediscover self confidence in themselves and also in their fitness abilities. Im currently extending my studies to further my knowledge on womens fitness in each stage of our lives. The mental and physical health benefits of any exercise and living an active lifestyle can have a lasting positive impact on your life, also as a bonus the social aspect is emotionally beneficial. Whether your just starting out or wanting to try something a different to mix up your existing training program, I can assist your to reach your goals. 13.01.2022 Hi Everyone, just checking in to let you all know that I'm currently working on some online material to keep everyone going whilst we are unable to have our classes at the moment. Cross fingers some of this will be available by tomorrow. In lieu of classes this afternoon you could try the idea below, get that body moving have a mental break from the media get outside, get your kids involved if you like Put some music on and go for it Warm up: skipping/marching, star jumps,... inchworms, butt kicks, frankenstines,arm circles (30sec each) Main session: Set a timer 45sec per exercise 15sec off (In between each exercise) Lunges Mountain/spider climbers Push ups High knees Squats Side shuffles V-hold Stop 60-90sec rest, drink break, repeat main session 1 more time. Stop rest, then plank challenge Remember your Stretches and comment below when you are done

11.01.2022 I know it's tricky at the moment to get the usual movement into your day. Take a break from that computer/phone go outside enjoy the sunshine walk around even if it's just for 10mins

10.01.2022 Boxfit Friday - classes still going ahead today, 9.15am, 5.15pm and 7pm. Remember to bring a towel to class as well. Unfortunately this will be the last boxfit classes until social distancing restrictions are lifted in the future. I'm still open for business next week but we will move to more bodyweight classes, still a great workout just a different layout and be outdoors when whether permits. I'll send out the new schedule out over the weekend. My clients are very special... to me and my aim is to keep you mentally & physical healthy in this craziness that is happening, that is what's most important to me In the future we may have to move online classes and programs from home whatever it takes I won't be giving up you guys you have all come so far whether you realise it or not. I don't want you to loose that strength you've earnt both mentally and physically. Remember those exercise endorphins pay dividends on keeping you happy and healthy

The following measures have been put in place: *Hand sanitiser is now placed at door please use upon arrival... *All workout equipment/items will be disinfected between classes, along with lockers, sign in pens etc. Some steps for you to take: *Please bring a clean towel with you to class, to use on the mats during core exercises and during stretching. *antibacterial wipes are available for you to use throughout the session as a extra precaution if you feel this is necessary. *If you are feeling unwell/sick please stay at home.
