19.01.2022 Matthew was a tax collector, and his associates were rich and powerful. He told the story of the Magi, wise men who came from the east. Who are the learned, rich and influential people in your community? Do they worship Jesus with the honour He deserves? Do they share their gifts and abilities with all of God's creation? This 3-D wood carving is a copy of a middle ages icon. It was made in Bulgaria.

11.01.2022 Together we have 500-600 nativity sets or other items from over 70 countries and territories. Some we have visited, some we have been given by other travellers, and some have been bought locally or on-line. So hold on for a brief trip around the world.

07.01.2022 Making a Scene at Christmas finished our 2019 program yesterday. We made trips to Sea Lake and Donald, Mooroopna, Horsham, Nhill and Murtoa, and Buninyong, where three Ballarat schools took part in our primary activities. We will begin planning our 2020 program in February. In the meantime, Fiona, Kay and Andrew wish all our visitors many Christmas blessings.

04.01.2022 Luke was a doctor, so he had dealings with people from all walks of life. He told the story of the shepherds. They lived out in the dusty countryside with smelly animals, and were pretty low in social standing. Who are the unpopular people in your community? Can you share some Christmas love, joy and peace with them this year? This nativity scene was made in Switzerland.

03.01.2022 1 October 2020, the year that has been different. We are fairly sure that there will be no MASAC displays this year. Instead, we are preparing a better photo collection, so that you can enjoy Christmas from wherever you are. We wish you Christmas blessings.

03.01.2022 Come and see our wonderful nativity scene display a the Buninyong Catholic Church, 701 Fisken Street, Buninyong on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th of December. At Christmas we are invited to recall the first Christmas the birth of a baby in Bethlehem. Artists for over a millennium have illustrated this even in action, painting and figurines. Andrew, Kay and Fiona have united their three collections to put on a display of over 500 nativities from over 60 countries and also in...clude related artefacts. Imagine a nativity made of potato chip bags, gingerbread, pewter, paper, clay, wood or crystal. Imagine how people in Africa or South America or Asia would show the story and make it their own. Imagine the artistic, the quirky, the stories behind the nativities e.g. a pregnant Mary hand coloured by the widows of the violence in Columbia. Imagine seeing and smelling frankincense and myrrh. Imagine what Herod could look like. Imagine seeing coins that are as old as the original story and one with the star of Bethlehem on it. This year, get in touch with the original story and experience Christmas in an exceptionally different way. Children, teenagers, adults, parents, grandparents are very welcome. Contact Fiona for more information. PH: 0437 426 268 Email: [email protected]
